It expanded Tower Raid with three hotel floors, a rooftop boss, random modifiers and four themed preset characters. Techland extended the event, but it ended on November 25, 2024, at 12:00 CET; it is no longer available as a live event.
What did Update 1.19 add?
Techland described the event as a spooky return of Tower Raid, with new rewards and Halloween Candies. The update added three hotel-themed floors, bringing the mode to twelve floors in total. A run selected eight floors before a new rooftop final boss, and floors could include random gameplay modifiers. Techland’s Patch 19 announcement introduced these features on October 30, 2024.
Four preset Halloween characters
Before a run, players chose one of four characters, each with a preset loadout, distinct traits and weapons. Techland listed up to 29 character perk points.
- Scarecrow: Tank
- Plague: Brawler
- Van Aiden: Ranger
- Cursed Pirate: Specialist
Candies, perks and rewards
The event included Baka’s shop, Halloween Candies, bounties, rewards and cosmetics. Halloween Candies were used to buy session perks; character perks instead used perk points. A run could have one active session perk, selected by the host in co-op.

Techland said leftover Treats from the previous year would convert at five Treats per Halloween Candy, up to 1,000 Candies. Any Treats above 5,000 would convert into Mutation Samples at four Treats per sample. These were event conversion rules, not a current way to obtain Halloween Candies.
When did Halloween Run end?
Techland initially scheduled the event for October 30 through November 20, 2024. On November 19, the studio announced an extension through November 25, 2024, at 12:00 CET. That extended date was the event’s final scheduled end. Techland’s extension notice also recommended playing in a four-player co-op group.

The event is over and is not currently available as a live activity. Buying the game now does not grant access to the expired event or its time-limited cosmetics.
How did players start the event?
When it was live, players could access the Bazaar and event after completing the prologue. The Tower Raid activity launched from Baka’s bulletin board at the Bazaar. Techland’s event announcement described that access route; its extension notice recommended four-player co-op, while each Halloween character had a preset loadout.

What else changed in Patch 19?
Update 1.19 added a controller firearms layout: players could use LT/L2 to aim guns and block while using melee weapons. Techland also listed fixes across Tower Raid, co-op, gameplay, technical issues, the user interface and DevTools, including fixes for co-op spawning and soft locks.
Two later hotfix releases addressed additional problems. Hotfix 1.19.1, released November 7, 2024, included Tower Raid balance and bug fixes, including reduced enemy health and fixes involving character selection and co-op experience. Hotfix 1.19.2-3, listed November 14, 2024, included further event fixes and addressed a save-loading issue affecting saves from Patch 19 and older versions. Techland documented the changes in its Hotfix 1.19.1 and Hotfix 1.19.2-3 notices.
