What was the Predator Force threat?
Gamexplore reported on February 19, 2025, that Predator Force had appeared on Fenris III during a Major Order connected to protecting a scientific site. The in-game alert reproduced in the article read:

The alert framed the danger as a Gloom-enhanced enemy force using concealment and ambush, rather than simply announcing a new enemy type.

Why did the report call them nightmare bugs?

How was this threat different from the Jet Brigade?
Gamexplore compared the Terminid modification qualitatively with the Automaton Jet Brigade. Its contrast was thematic: the Jet Brigade’s modifier involved jet packs, while Predator Force was framed around ambushes and Stalkers. The article offered no measured, like-for-like comparison of their difficulty or performance.

What happened to the Major Order afterward?
Gamexplore said that by Monday morning the Major Order had shifted to Fori Prime, where Helldivers were tasked with gathering data near the Gloom. That describes the order’s reported state at the time; it does not establish the game’s current order or event status.
Was Predator Force part of a broader faction plan?
The article connected the incident to a prior Gamexplore interview with Helldivers 2 game director Mikael Eriksson, quoting him as saying: “As we go into the future, with all factions, we want to add special units or modifications to the factions to push them in different directions.” The interview date is not identified on the page, so the quote provides design context rather than a current roadmap or a promise about what will be added next.

Is the event still active?
