The island code was 6619-8313-5969. The tournament’s final was scheduled for July 22, 2024; those dates are historical, and the announcement does not confirm whether the island is still playable.
What was “Breakfast in Bedwars”?
It was a custom Fortnite island built around a Bedwars-style team battle, with Whataburger-themed locations, items, and characters. The format paired Fortnite building and combat with the objective of protecting a team bed while trying to destroy opponents’ beds.

Teams and themed features
The announced setup had four teams of three. Players defended their beds and attacked other teams’ bases. The island featured restaurant-themed bases and custom beds, plus WhataGuy as a non-player character.
Food and drink references were integrated into gameplay: a Breakfast on a Bun restored health, hot coffee provided shields, and spicy ketchup offered a speed boost. The announcement also mentioned iced coffee, taquitos, breakfast burgers, table-tent vault keys, and interactions that granted boosts.

How to find the island
At launch, Whataburger instructed players to open Fortnite, select the search icon, and enter island code 6619-8313-5969. That was the launch instruction, not confirmation of current availability.
How the tournament was scheduled to work
Whataburger advertised a $25,000 total cash prize pool, including a $10,000 prize for the first-place team. These were the announced terms, not independently verified results.

Who could enter?
The announced tournament rules limited entry to U.S. residents aged 13 or older. Entrants under 18 needed parental consent. The clip-submission process ran through X, and Whataburger said efuse would manage, monitor, and select submissions.
These restrictions applied to the tournament. The announcement described the island and tournament as connected parts of the activation, but does not establish that the island itself had the same eligibility rules.

Who made the activation?
Whataburger named efuse, erena, Click Media Group, and McGarrah Jessee as collaborators. It also explicitly stated that “Breakfast in Bedwars” was not affiliated with Epic Games, so it should not be described as an Epic Games partnership.

The announcement documents a launch on July 8, 2024, and provides the island code, but does not establish whether that code still works or whether Whataburger later launched another Fortnite activation. The tournament dates and entry window have passed.
