In Battlefield 6, a sustained K/D above 1.0 is positive, around 1.5 is solid, and around 2.0 or higher is strong. These are editorial rules of thumb, not official EA ranks or verified percentiles. The ratio is most useful as a personal benchmark, and it only means something when you compare like with like.
How K/D is calculated
K/D is kills divided by deaths. A ratio of 1.0 means one kill for every death on average, and 2.0 means two kills per death. Because the number is an average over whatever sample a tracker or EA’s profile covers, a single match or a short session can move it sharply.
Benchmark ranges
| K/D ratio | Label used in this article | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 | Break-even | One kill per death on average, the line between net-negative and net-positive |
| Above 1.0 | Positive | More kills than deaths across the tracked sample |
| Around 1.5 | Solid | A practical target for consistently above-average fragging |
| Around 2.0 or higher | Strong | Two or more kills per death across the tracked sample |
These labels are editorial. They are not EA ranks, ladder tiers, or percentile cutoffs, so a player at 1.5 cannot assume a particular place in the player base.
Why there is no official population average
EA’s player-stat pages show individual profiles. They are not a representative sample and should not be averaged together. Three named profiles show how widely values vary:

These were accessed in 2026 and are individual examples, not population statistics. Neither EA nor the tracking sites reviewed here publish a Battlefield 6 population mean, median, or percentile for K/D. Any claim that a specific ratio puts a player in a named top percentage should be treated as unsourced.
Compare like with like
A K/D is only comparable to another K/D measured the same way. Check these before ranking two players or judging your own progress:

- Mode. A ratio from one mode says little about another. Compare within the same mode.
- AI backfill. EA states that stats from Casual or Portal modes that backfill with AI are not tracked, so those games will not contribute to a profile’s numbers.
- Bot inclusion. Whether bots filled the lobby changes who you are fragging. A ratio from a bot-filled match is not directly comparable to one from an all-human match.
- Session length. A short streak or a single session can differ sharply from a longer sample. Judge trends over many matches.
- Tracking source and definition. Use the same tracker for both players and confirm whether its K/D counts only player kills or includes other kill types.
Read K/D with the rest of the scoreboard
EA’s combat display lists kills, deaths, assists, damage, accuracy, and revives. A player with a modest ratio who revives teammates and earns assists can contribute more to a round than a high-ratio player who avoids objectives. EA’s own profile page puts it as a target rather than a verdict: “Use this as your benchmark and aim high next season!”
Where to check your ratio
- EA player stats. Search by gamer tag and select the platform the account plays on. EA’s profiles are the official record for the stats it tracks.
- Tracker.gg. Offers player profiles, leaderboards, and session stats for session-level detail. It is a third-party service, not an official percentile benchmark, and its desktop overlay is not available for console play.
What “above or around 2” means in player talk
Players often ask how high an average K/D is, what counts as “good,” and whether sitting “above or around 2” means they are “killing it.” Community replies that treat about 2 as strong are opinions. They line up with the editorial range above, but they are not a statistical norm.
