Tales of Graces f Remastered adds modern convenience options, navigation and accessibility improvements, and battle aids while retaining the original story and its Lineage and Legacies after-story. It also includes more than 80 kinds of original DLC content, according to Bandai Namco, but some licensed items are excluded. One notable change: the original online Trials of Graces ranking feature is absent; the remaster offers an offline mode instead.
What changes make exploration and story progression easier?
Bandai Namco Europe’s feature list, published September 23, 2024, describes changes aimed at reducing friction without removing every challenge or encounter.

- Dash control: Press a button to move faster, and toggle between running and dashing.
- Encounter control: An Options setting turns encounters off, including when you touch field or dungeon enemies. Certain event battles are exempt.
- Skippable scenes: Hold the skip button to skip cutscenes and skits; skit dialogue can also be sped up.
- Autosave: An autosave function is included.
- Destination markers: The next main-story destination is marked with an exclamation icon and distance indicator. Time-sensitive events use an hourglass icon, and world-map cursor movement can be sped up.
Turning encounters off is not a universal way to bypass battles: the publisher specifically notes that the setting does not apply to certain event battles. Bandai Namco Europe’s change list gives that limitation.
What has changed in battles and accessibility?
- Retry after defeat: You can retry after losing a regular battle.
- More battle feedback: Subtitles are available for Mystic Artes and post-battle dialogue, and subtitle display can be adjusted. Newly learned Artes are highlighted in green.
- Color-independent puzzle cues: Certain dungeon obstacles and puzzles no longer require color recognition.
- Custom controls: Field and battle controls can be customized.
These adjustments add information and options; they do not amount to a documented overhaul of the battle system.

What story and DLC content is included?
Lineage and Legacies
The remaster includes Lineage and Legacies, the after-story set six months after the end of Tales of Graces and centered on Sophie, according to Bandai Namco Entertainment America’s launch announcement.
More than 80 kinds of DLC
Bandai Namco says more than 80 kinds of original DLC are included, including costumes and skits. Some licensed content is excluded, so the included collection is not every item ever released for the original game. The figure is the publisher’s count, not an independently audited total. Certain skits that were previously available only in Japanese are offered in other languages with English voice-over. See the publisher’s feature list for its description of the included content.

What happened to Trials of Graces online rankings?
The original online ranking feature is not present. Bandai Namco’s official Q&A says the ranking mode was converted into an offline Trials of Graces mode accessible from the Title Menu. The change list and Q&A are available on Bandai Namco Europe’s feature page and the North American launch page.
What audio and language options are available?
Separate volume controls are available for music, sound effects, voices, and animated cutscenes. You can also switch voice-over language between English and Japanese. Bandai Namco notes that some sound effects were adjusted.
