When did Black Ops 7 Ranked Play come out?
Activision announced on January 29, 2026, that Season 02—and Black Ops 7 Multiplayer Ranked Play—would begin February 5 at 9 a.m. PT. The mode’s debut was tied to that season launch, rather than the game’s initial release period. Activision’s Season 02 announcement gives the launch date and time.

This date refers specifically to Black Ops 7 Multiplayer Ranked Play. It should not be confused with Warzone Resurgence Ranked Play, which the same season announcement also discusses.
How did players unlock Ranked Play?
Access required 50 wins in matchmade Multiplayer games. Eligible wins from before Season 02 counted, so players did not have to start building their total on February 5. Party Game and Limited Time Mode wins did not count toward the requirement, according to Activision Support’s Ranked Play guidance.

What happened after unlocking it?
The 50-win threshold unlocked the mode; it was separate from the placement process used to establish a starting Rank. New players had to win three Placement Matches to receive that starting Rank. Ranked matches used competitive 4v4 play and followed Call of Duty League settings, maps, modes, and weapon restrictions. Players earned Skill Rating (SR) after wins, while losses could reduce it; SR awards reflected match performance relative to other players’ skill and the team’s margin of victory. These launch details appeared in the Season 02 announcement.
Did Ranked Play continue after Season 02?
Yes. Activision’s July 13, 2026 Season 05 announcement described Multiplayer Ranked Play and listed that season’s rewards. A September 17, 2026 update to Activision Support documented Season 06 Ranked Play rewards. These records show that the mode continued beyond its launch season; they do not establish which season or reward set is current after those dates. What PC requirements applied?
Activision stated that PC Ranked Play required TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, with stronger Remote Attestation added through its partnership with Microsoft.
