Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III joined Xbox Game Pass on July 24, 2024. Xbox announced the addition a day earlier, naming Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. That was the launch announcement; it does not confirm the game’s current catalog status.
When did Modern Warfare III come to Game Pass?
Xbox Wire announced on July 23, 2024, that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III would be available through Game Pass starting July 24, 2024. Xbox’s Megan Spurr, Senior Community Lead for Xbox Game Pass, wrote that the game was “making its way to Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate starting July 24!” A contemporaneous report also identified it as the first Call of Duty title on the service. TrueAchievements’ July 2024 coverage corroborates the historical launch.
Is Modern Warfare III on Game Pass now?
The 2024 announcement cannot establish whether the game is in the catalog now. Xbox says Game Pass availability can change over time and vary by region, plan and platform; it directs subscribers to its live Game Pass catalog for current listings. Search there for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and check the result against your region, platform and plan before relying on subscription access.

How to compare access options
If you are deciding between Game Pass and buying a copy, first establish whether the live catalog lists the game for your circumstances. Xbox identifies plan, platform and region as factors that can affect availability; the historical launch tiers alone do not answer whether a particular subscription currently provides access.
