Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster launched digitally on September 19, 2024—not September 19 of the current year. Capcom announced PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC as the launch platforms; its announcement scheduled a physical version for November 2024 without specifying a day.
When did Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster come out?
The digital release date was September 19, 2024, according to Capcom’s announcement. That date applies to the digital launch, not the separately scheduled physical release.

Which platforms was it released on?
Capcom named PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC for the September 2024 launch. Its July announcement said a physical version was planned for November 2024, but gave no specific date or regional availability. That historical announcement does not establish current disc stock.
What is Deluxe Remaster?
It is a revival of the first Dead Rising, developed using Capcom’s RE ENGINE. Freelance photojournalist Frank West investigates a zombie outbreak inside the quarantined Willamette Parkview Mall in Colorado. The central premise remains a 72-hour race to explore the mall, fight zombies and other threats, improvise weapons from everyday objects and rescue survivors.

Capcom and its platform partners describe a visual and usability overhaul that keeps the original’s chaotic gameplay and core identity. Announced changes include improved graphics and lighting, revised controls and interface, autosave, fully voiced NPC interactions, the ability to move while aiming, photo filters, survivor-AI improvements and a restored rocket launcher. Classic controls are also listed as an option. These are publisher and platform descriptions, not independent test findings.
What do the editions include?
The official US PlayStation Store page, accessed October 8, 2026, listed the Standard edition at $49.99 and Digital Deluxe at $59.99. These are storefront observations for the US page, not guaranteed prices elsewhere or in the future.

At launch, the PlayStation Blog described three costumes and three tracks as pre-order bonuses. That is a launch-era promotion, not a statement about current availability. The US PlayStation page also showed a free demo and separately purchasable add-ons when accessed; listings and prices can change. The cited store page does not verify current physical-disc availability.

Capcom reported that cumulative sales of the Dead Rising series exceeded 16 million units as of March 31, 2024. The figure is for the franchise as a whole, not sales of Deluxe Remaster.
