When did Gears of War: Reloaded come out?
Gears of War: Reloaded launched on August 26, 2025. Xbox Wire announced the date for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5 and Steam. Steam’s store page also lists August 26, 2025.
What time did it release?
GamesRadar+ reported a simultaneous launch on August 26 at these times:

Xbox’s announcement confirmed the release date but did not specify an unlock hour. These times come from GamesRadar+’s launch-day report.

Where could players access it?
At launch, the game was available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5 and Steam. Xbox announced day-one access through Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass. Subscription catalog availability and terms can change.
Xbox’s May 5, 2025 announcement gave a U.S. suggested retail price of $39.99. That was the announced SRP, not a statement of current pricing or prices in other regions.

What does the Reloaded edition include?
Xbox describes Reloaded as a remaster of the original Gears of War and says it includes Ultimate Edition content: the bonus campaign act, multiplayer maps and modes, and classic characters and cosmetics.
Xbox also lists 4K resolution, 60 FPS in Campaign and 120 FPS in Multiplayer, along with HDR. These are publisher-stated specifications, not independent performance test results. Steam’s PC listing describes ultrawide support, variable refresh rate, mouse and keyboard support, and controller remapping.

Does it support cross-play and cross-progression?
Xbox says cross-play works across platforms. Signing in with a Microsoft account enables cross-progression and cross-platform invites. The campaign supports two-player co-op, while Versus Multiplayer supports up to eight players.

Xbox announced a free upgrade for people who had purchased the digital Gears of War: Ultimate Edition before 16:00 UTC on May 5, 2025. The offer was limited to eligible digital purchasers; Xbox said eligible accounts would receive a code before launch. The announcement did not extend this eligibility to all owners or to physical-copy purchasers.
