When did Grounded 2 release?
Grounded 2 became available on July 29, 2025, through Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access. Xbox announced the date on June 8, 2025, and Obsidian repeated it in its July 16 launch guide. Xbox Wire’s announcement also described Brookhollow Park, rideable Buggies and development shaped by player feedback.
What time did Grounded 2 unlock?
PC Gamer reported a July 29 unlock time of 10 a.m. Pacific Time, or 17:00 UTC. The official Xbox and Obsidian announcements confirm the calendar date but do not independently give that clock time, so the time should be attributed to PC Gamer’s July 28, 2025 report.
Which platforms got Grounded 2 first?
The initial July 2025 availability included Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud and Steam Early Access. Obsidian’s launch guide also listed Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Xbox Play Anywhere supported cross-saves between Xbox console and PC.

Platform and access method are different things: Xbox and PC identify where the game could be played, while Game Preview and Steam Early Access identify its unfinished, in-development release programs. Game Pass was an access route for eligible subscribers, not a separate release edition.
When did Grounded 2 come to PS5?
Grounded 2 later released on PlayStation 5 on August 11, 2026, according to the official Grounded site. This was a later platform launch; it does not change the July 29, 2025 date on which the game first became available.

The July 2025 launch was in Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access, not a stated 1.0 release. The official announcements and pages cited here do not establish a date for the full version, so there is no confirmed 1.0 release date to report.
