Destiny 2’s weekly reset happens every Tuesday at 17:00 UTC. For Pacific time, Bungie’s reset guide gives 10:00 a.m. PDT during daylight saving time and 9:00 a.m. PST during standard time. The UTC time stays fixed, so the Pacific hour is the one that shifts with the seasons.
Converting the reset to your local time
Use UTC as the reference point, because it does not move. Bungie’s guide lists the weekly reset at 17:00 UTC on Tuesday. The Pacific equivalents are:

As of 8 October 2026, the Pacific clocks are still on daylight time, so the reset falls at 10:00 a.m. PDT. In the United States, daylight saving time ends on 1 November 2026, at which point the Pacific reset moves to 9:00 a.m. PST. If you live elsewhere, convert from 17:00 UTC using your own offset, since Bungie’s guide only states the UTC and Pacific times.
What resets on Tuesday
Bungie’s reset guide, titled around the weekly reset in its Bungie Help support pages, says that on each Tuesday the following rituals and activities have all progression and rewards reset. The list includes:

Bungie’s activities guide also states that the mode in the Crucible Weekly Rotator changes at the weekly reset. If you are waiting on a specific playlist, check the rotator after 17:00 UTC on Tuesday rather than assuming it carried over.
For raids, the practical effect is that checkpoints and encounter-related progress reset with the week, so a team that wants to use a checkpoint should confirm its availability after the reset rather than before it.

Daily resets are a separate schedule
The daily reset is not the same event as the weekly one. Bungie lists the daily reset as the point where clan bounties and vendor daily bounties refresh, and it also adds a Prime Attunement stack. These occur on a daily cycle and are listed separately from Tuesday’s weekly reset, so missing a daily bounty does not mean the weekly rewards have changed.
Seasonal resets can change more
Seasonal resets are a different category again. Bungie states that seasonal resets can affect broader progression and rewards, including season pass progress, seasonal vendor progression, some ranks, and event challenges. Bungie announces seasonal reset dates on Bungie.net, so the weekly Tuesday schedule should not be used to predict when a season changes. Check Bungie’s seasonal announcements for that timing.

When the schedule might not hold
The reset guide describes the recurring schedule, not the effect of any particular maintenance window. Bungie publishes separate server and update status notices, and a maintenance event can change when players can reach the game. If a reset appears to be late or you cannot log in around Tuesday 17:00 UTC, check Bungie’s current status announcements before assuming the schedule itself has changed. No official notice in the material reviewed indicates a change to the routine weekly reset time.
