The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta ran from October 2 to October 8, 2025, and has ended. Early Access began October 2 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time; the free Open Beta began October 5 at 10 a.m. PT and was open to all players on supported platforms.

How Early Access registration worked
Digital pre-orders through the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, Battle.net, or Steam were automatically registered, so buyers did not need a beta code. Participating physical retailers typically provided a code on the receipt or by email; players had to redeem that code through Activision. Eligible Game Pass subscriptions were automatically validated. The official Black Ops 7 beta page has the publisher’s access details.
Platforms that supported the beta
Activision listed Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Battle.net, and Steam. Availability could vary by territory and retailer. The beta is over, and buying the game now does not grant access to that past event. The full game released on November 14, 2025; Activision’s Black Ops 7 game page lists its platforms.

What the beta included
Xbox Wire reported that Early Access launched with three maps and four modes, with additional modes added on October 3 and 4. Zombies Survival on Vandorn Farm became available October 3. At the start of the Open Beta on October 5, two more maps were available. The beta offered 30 progression levels, and certain rewards carried over to the full game.
