How long was Fortnite expected to be down on February 19?
Insider Gaming reported that Fortnite was offline for maintenance tied to update v39.50. The report said Epic had not set a return time. The estimate could shift if Epic found issues or needed to deploy a larger patch, so it cannot tell us exactly how much longer players had to wait—or the precise time Fortnite servers actually returned that day. The sources available do not establish a verified restoration timestamp.
Where to check Fortnite server updates
For a current or future outage, Epic recommends checking Epic Games Public Status and @FortniteStatus for updates. Epic’s support page says in-game emergency messaging is posted about 24 hours before planned downtime. Epic’s scheduled-maintenance guidance.

Does Fortnite’s current status confirm when the February outage ended?
No. When Epic’s status page was checked on October 8, 2026, Fortnite and its displayed components were marked operational. That is a snapshot of the service at that later date; it does not document when servers returned after the February 19 maintenance. Check Epic’s current status for present-day service information.
