Game Center settings are in Settings > Game Center on iPhone and iPad. For your games, friends, achievements, and profile, open the Apple Games app and tap your avatar. Game Center is Apple’s social gaming service; Apple Games is the app hub for using it.
Find Game Center settings
- Open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Game Center. If you do not see it, search for “Game Center” in Settings.
- Sign in or turn on Game Center if prompted, then use the available profile and account controls.

Use Apple Games for your games and profile
- Open the Apple Games app and follow any prompts to sign in.
- Tap your avatar to see profile information, friends, and achievements, or to edit your profile.
- Open Library to see downloaded games.
Apple describes Apple Games as a central hub for games and gaming friends. You need to sign in to an Apple Account to use the app; Apple recommends using the same Apple Account for Game Center and the App Store. Apple Support’s Apple Games getting-started guide
If Game Center or a feature is missing
- Search for “Game Center” from the Settings screen if you cannot spot it while scrolling.
- If a social feature is unavailable or appears restricted, check Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. Restrictions can affect multiplayer games, adding or connecting with friends, nearby multiplayer, private messaging, and profile changes.
- Update to the latest iOS or iPadOS before getting started with Apple Games. App availability and labels can vary by system version.

Choose who can see your activity
In Game Center settings, Apple provides controls for friend requests, sharing your friends list with apps, whether friends can find you through Apple Account contact details, nearby invitations, and signing out. Activity visibility options in Apple’s support material are Everyone, Friends Only, and Only You.
