The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition launched on June 24, 2025, for $399.99 in the US. Xbox named Meta.com and Best Buy in the US, and Argos and EE in the UK, as launch retailers—but said quantities were “extremely limited.” Those are launch channels, not a guarantee of current stock: check the retailer’s live listing before buying.
Where to look for the Quest 3S Xbox Edition
Xbox’s June 24, 2025 launch announcement named these retailers:
- United States: Meta.com and Best Buy.
- United Kingdom: Argos and EE.
Xbox described quantities as “extremely limited.” The announcement does not establish whether any retailer has stock now, or what it currently charges. Check the retailer’s own listing for availability, price, seller and delivery to your location. Marketplace resale listings are not the same as official retailer inventory.
What the $399.99 launch bundle included

Is it a better bargain than the standard Quest 3S?
At their announced launch prices, the comparison is simple: Xbox priced the 128GB Xbox Edition at $399.99 in June 2025, while Meta announced the standard Quest 3S starting at $299.99 in September 2024. That is a $100 difference between the two launch prices—not a promise that the bundle saves every buyer money.

|---|---|---|
| Announced launch price | $399.99 USD (Xbox, June 2025) | Starting at $299.99 USD (Meta, September 2024) |
| Storage established by these announcements | 128GB | Not stated in Meta’s cited starting-price announcement |

| Xbox Cloud Gaming compatibility | Supported | Supported |
Meta positioned the standard Quest 3S as a lower-priced headset with Quest 3 mixed-reality capabilities and performance, and support for the Quest app and game library. The special edition’s $100 launch premium buys its colorway, controller, Elite Strap and subscription trials. Whether that is worthwhile depends on what you would actually use and what the bundle costs where you shop today; the launch-price comparison does not establish current prices, resale value or the savings from buying accessories separately.
When the Xbox Edition may suit you
- You want the black-and-green limited-edition look.
- You would use the included Xbox Wireless Controller and Elite Strap.
- You expect to use the included subscription trials and have checked their current terms.
When the standard model may make more sense
- You want the lower announced starting price and do not value the special-edition styling or included accessories.
- You mainly want to play Quest games or use Xbox Cloud Gaming: the cloud-gaming feature is not exclusive to the Xbox Edition.
Xbox Cloud Gaming is not exclusive to this headset edition
Xbox lists Quest 3S, Quest 3, Quest Pro and Quest 2 as supported headsets for Xbox Cloud Gaming. Its guidance says you need a Quest headset, a compatible controller, the Xbox app, high-speed internet and an active Game Pass subscription for most cloud games. The Xbox Edition includes a controller and a three-month Game Pass Ultimate trial, but those inclusions do not make cloud gaming exclusive to this model.

For best performance, Xbox recommends 5 GHz Wi-Fi and at least 20 Mbps download speed. It cautions that performance depends on connection, location, device and other factors. Game titles, features, counts and availability can also vary over time, by region, plan and platform. Check the current Xbox Cloud Gaming guidance and trial terms before relying on a particular game or assuming what you will pay after the trial.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the Quest 3S Xbox Edition a US exclusive?
No—not according to Xbox’s launch announcement. It named retailers in both the US and UK: Meta.com and Best Buy in the US, and Argos and EE in the UK. That dated launch list does not confirm current inventory or availability in other countries. Check local retailer listings rather than assuming the US launch price or retailer list applies elsewhere.
