It only becomes usable once the Heaven Has No Pier story sequence has put that home into play, and gaming guides report that the interaction works in solo mode. Once it is active, each in-game day allows up to two uses, and each successful use can unlock one starter hairstyle you did not pick during character creation.
Finding the right mirror
Blissful Retreat has more than one mirror, and guides warn that some of the others are purely decorative. The one that works is in the bedroom of the house tied to the Blissful Retreat story hub, not any house on the slope.
- Stand at the Blissful Retreat Boundary Stone and face south.
- Walk uphill toward the cluster of houses on the slope.
- Enter the house connected to your story progression. Guides identify it as the player’s own home in the Heaven Has No Pier sequence.
- Go to the bedroom and look at the wall for the mirror.
Two landmarks help confirm you are in the right area. Signposts stand outside, and an archery target sits nearby. Those landmarks only tell you that you are in the correct neighborhood, so check the house itself before assuming you have found the mirror.
What unlocks the mirror
The mirror is part of a story sequence in Qinghe rather than a standalone unlock. Guides describe the path as follows:
- Complete “A Horse Neighs in the Forest.” This is the quest that comes before the home segment.
- Continue into “Dust in the Rhombus Mirror.” Some walkthroughs spell the title “Dust on the Rhombus Mirror.” Both names point to the same stage of the sequence.
- Keep the Blissful Retreat home active. In this sequence, the home becomes the story hub, and the mirror is available once that segment is in progress.
Guides also mention a level 21 “wait for developments” gate for moving the main quest forward. That gate is a pacing point in the story. It is not described as a separate requirement for using the mirror once the home segment is active, so do not stop at level 21 assuming the mirror is locked for level reasons.
If the mirror or prompt does not appear
Work through these checks in order. Each one rules out a different cause.

A 2025 guide by NerdsChalk gives a total of up to 12 hairstyles that can be collected this way. That figure comes from one guide, not from the developer, so treat it as a community count rather than an official number. The feature is reported to stop offering styles once every available style has been collected.
