NBA 2K20 originally launched for Windows PC on Steam, but 2K now lists it among discontinued games that are no longer available for purchase. If you already own it, sign in to the Steam account that holds the license and check your Library for a download option. 2K says existing owners can redownload older games and play offline modes; its online services, including MyCAREER and MyTEAM, are no longer available.
Where NBA 2K20 was released on PC
NBA 2K20 launched on Windows PC through Steam on September 6, 2019, according to Steam’s game listing and its original release announcement. Take-Two’s launch announcement also confirms the Windows PC release.

Can you still buy NBA 2K20 for PC?
2K’s legacy-game policy says titles released outside its current lineup—including NBA 2K24 and earlier games—are discontinued and no longer available for purchase. That policy includes NBA 2K20. 2K’s article, “NBA 2K: Server Sunsets”, was published July 31, 2025 and updated January 6, 2026.
No authorized seller for a new NBA 2K20 PC license is established here. Be cautious of unofficial download sites or key-reseller listings: their safety, legitimacy, and ability to activate a license are not verified. A download by itself does not provide a valid game license.

How to redownload it if you already own it
- Open Steam and sign in to the account you used to buy or redeem NBA 2K20.
- Open Library and look for NBA 2K20.
- If it appears, select it and choose the install option. Steam lists 80 GB of available storage and says initial installation requires a one-time internet connection for Steam authentication.
2K says owners of older games can redownload them and play offline modes. That does not establish whether a particular Steam account or region has an entitlement; check the account itself.
If the game is missing from your Library
First confirm you are signed in to the account that originally purchased or redeemed it. If you believe that account owns the game but it is not listed, contact Steam account or purchase support. 2K’s general guidance for missing digital content advises contacting support with purchase details, but it does not promise restoration for NBA 2K20 specifically.

Which NBA 2K20 modes still work?
Owners can play offline modes, but reinstalling the game does not bring back retired online services. 2K says online modes and server-dependent features for discontinued games are unavailable, specifically naming MyCAREER and MyTEAM. A Steam Community notice gives December 31, 2021 as the NBA 2K20 multiplayer shutdown date; 2K’s later legacy-game policy confirms the current unavailability of online services.
