Collision Course, the fourth mission in Sniper Elite: Resistance, has three workbenches, one for each weapon class: an SMG/secondary bench in the west near the train station, a pistol bench at the southern farmstead, and a rifle bench in the northern bridge and power-plant area. Each one unlocks a single class-specific upgrade. The directions below are drawn from published guides from GameSpot, Prima Games, and Push Square, and they are most reliable where the landmarks agree.
| Workbench | Map area | How you get in | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
| SMG / secondary | Western train station, beside the salvaged-technology sabotage objective | Open the nearby metal gate and climb down the ladder into the bunker | Secondary Stability Pack |
| Pistol | Southern farmstead | Climb the exterior vines of the house and enter | Pistol Power Upgrades |
| Rifle | Northern bridge and power-plant area | Search the lower floor of the building beside the bridge with an optional objective; a door may need a key or satchel charge | Rifle Mobility Mods |
Where to find each Collision Course workbench
SMG / secondary workbench: western train station
This is the clearest of the three to find, because GameSpot and Push Square describe the same gate-and-ladder route.
- Head to the train station on the western (left) side of the map, near the objective to sabotage salvaged technology.
- Open the metal gate nearby.
- Climb down the ladder. The workbench is in the bunker below.
Using the bench unlocks the Secondary Stability Pack. Guides from GameSpot and Push Square both place the bench here.
Pistol workbench: southern farmstead
Use the farmstead in the south of the map as your landmark. The bench is inside a house that you enter by climbing its exterior vines.
#1 Best Overall
- VISCERAL X-RAY KILL CAM AND ADVANCED GUNPLAY PHYSICS - The trademark X-ray kill cam returns, showing the true destructive power of every one of your signature shots. Bones deflect bullets to unpredictably rip new paths through enemy bodies and SMGs and pistols also trigger kill cams, showing multiple bullet shots in dramatic slow motion.
- NEW OPERATIVE, NEW THREAT, NEW EPIC CAMPAIGN Offering unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical third-person combat, Sniper Elite: Resistance turns the attention of the award-winning series towards a hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of occupied France.
- AUTHENTIC WORLD WAR II WEAPONS AND CUSTOMISATION The arsenal at your disposal will feature returning franchise favourites as well as a host of new authentic WWII weapons. Picking your loadout will be key to striking down the Reich’s nefarious plans!
- PROPAGANDA MISSIONS – BE THE RESISTANCE Locate unique Propaganda posters across the main campaign and step into the shoes of a French Resistance fighter in all new Propaganda missions. During these scenarios, sneak, snipe and take down enemies to complete time-sensitive objectives and help end the Nazi occupation.
- AXIS INVASION MODE The fan-favourite Axis Invasion mode is back! invade another player’s Campaign as an Axis sniper and engage in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Whether you stalk your prey, lay an ambush, or run in guns blazing, the threat of invasion provides a new dimension to the campaign’s challenge.
- Go to the farmstead in the southern part of the map.
- Find the house with vines growing up the outside wall.
- Climb the vines to reach the entrance.
- Inside, find the workbench. GameSpot places it on the second floor.
The bench unlocks Pistol Power Upgrades. The guides describe the building differently: GameSpot calls it a two-storey cabin marked with a Resistance cross symbol, while Prima Games calls it the southernmost barn. The farmstead and the climbable vines are the details that match across sources, so search by those if the labels do not line up with what you see.
Rifle workbench: northern bridge and power plant
The rifle bench is the one where the guides describe the room differently, so treat the area as the target rather than an exact room.
- Head to the northern bridge and the power-plant area.
- Find the building beside the bridge that contains an optional objective. Push Square places the bench in this building.
- Search the lower floor. GameSpot places the bench in the generator room at the power plant, and Prima Games places it in the basement.
Using the bench unlocks Rifle Mobility Mods.
Access problems and how to get past them
Workbenches are interactables, and some are behind doors that need more than a walk-up. Prima Games says the basement door for the rifle bench can require either a satchel charge or a key carried by a nearby guard. GameSpot notes that workbench doors in general may need a key, lockpicking, a crowbar, or bolt cutters. If you are stuck, check these options in roughly this order:
- Look for a nearby guard who may carry a key, and deal with him quietly before searching his area.
- Check whether a satchel charge is available in your loadout before committing to the door.
- If a door is locked at a different workbench, expect a lockpick, crowbar, or bolt cutter requirement rather than a guard key.
Tracking your progress
Workbenches do not appear as map markers, so it is easy to miss one. Push Square says the Service Record menu tracks which workbenches you have found, which makes it the simplest way to confirm you have all three before leaving the mission. Push Square and Prima Games both count 22 workbenches across the campaign’s eight missions, with three in Collision Course. Collecting all of them earns the Innovator achievement, according to GameSpot.

Verifying the locations
These directions come from published guides, not from a separate playthrough. The landmarks for the SMG and pistol benches are consistent across sources. The rifle bench is the least certain, because the guides name the building and room differently. The northern bridge and power-plant area, and the lower floor, are the parts to rely on. For a broader listing of Collision Course collectibles, the Push Square Collision Course guide covers 19 collectibles, including these three workbenches, and Push Square’s all-workbenches guide lists every workbench in the campaign.
Where the sources diverge, a sensible approach is to clear the landmark area first, then search the lower floor of the northern building with the optional objective. That covers the room GameSpot and Prima describe, even if the labels do not match your view of the building.
