Epic says official promotions are advertised through those channels, and its season-information support page also directs players to Fortnite News and official channels. Treat each announcement as the source for its own dates and participation details; rewards and account-linked offers may have eligibility limits.
Where to follow official announcements
- Fortnite News: Epic’s news page is the clearest place to check for formal announcements and event details.
- Epic’s official Fortnite channels: Epic identifies its official channels as places where Fortnite promotions are advertised. Use the channels linked or identified by Epic rather than relying on reposts or unofficial social accounts.

What Disney–Fortnite announcements have covered
Epic and The Walt Disney Company announced a multiyear collaboration on February 7, 2024. Epic described plans for an open, persistent social universe connected to Fortnite, bringing together stories and experiences from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Avatar, powered by Unreal Engine. The announcement also described Disney’s planned $1.5 billion equity investment in Epic as subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals; that was the announcement’s position at the time, not an update on the investment’s current status. Read Epic’s February 7, 2024 announcement.
The partnership announcements have described different kinds of experiences, rather than a single format:

| April 29, 2025 — Epic’s Star Wars announcement | A Star Wars-themed Fortnite season and an in-game Watch Party island showing the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld beginning May 2, ahead of the series’ Disney+ premiere on May 4. | Epic described an account-linking route for eligible players to unlock a First Order Stormtrooper Outfit. Check the original announcement for its terms; it is a dated example, not a standing or future offer. |
| August 15, 2026 — Epic’s Disney Parks announcement | A connection between the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction and the Smugglers Gambit Fortnite island, announced to begin August 16, 2026. | Epic described ride-related rewards for eligible guests linking MyDisney and Epic accounts, plus an island quest for Fortnite players. Confirm the current instructions and availability before trying to participate. |
The February 2024 announcement cited more than 100 million active players and creators as Epic’s description of Fortnite at that time. It is a dated publisher figure, not a current audience estimate.

An announcement may describe a collaboration without making every reward available to every player. Epic’s MyDisney account-linking guidance says linking is limited to supported locations and eligible Epic and MyDisney accounts. It also involves data sharing and requires consent on both sides. Read Epic’s current instructions for linking a MyDisney account before proceeding.
