To find all six members of The Yokai in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, track them across Harima, Tamba, Yamashiro and Izumi Settsu, watching for night- and season-specific encounters. After defeating the six named targets, return to Mamushi for a separate final fight against Ao Andon. The detailed locations and conditions below are reported by the PowerPyx walkthrough; its directions identify a cave for Yuki Onna but do not name the region or a more precise landmark.
How to unlock The Yokai
PowerPyx lists The Yokai under People of Yamashiro > Mamushi > The Yokai. It places Mamushi at Nyoji Daiji Temple, says the quest becomes available in Act 2, and gives a recommended level of 41. Its walkthrough says to first find a “!” marker at Engyoji in Harima and speak to Mamushi. These are the guide’s reported quest-board and starting directions; it does not establish that all named quest locations are in one place.
Where to find the six Yokai
The walkthrough identifies six members to defeat. Use the listed regions and landmarks, and account for the timing notes before searching.

Plan around night and seasonal conditions
PowerPyx’s practical timing guidance is to look for Kappa and Oshiroi Baba at night, Suika no Bakemono in summer or fall, and Yuki Onna in winter. The Yuki Onna note is less certain: a reader comment on the same page reports finding her in the cavern outside winter, but that is not confirmation of a general rule.

The walkthrough says there is no direct way to advance time or change seasons beyond waiting or progressing through the game. Rather than remain in one place, pursue other activities and return when the relevant conditions apply. Its directions do not identify Yuki Onna’s cave beyond saying it is a cave, so they are not enough to give a precise route to that target.

After defeating the six members, return to Mamushi, enter the tower and defeat Ao Andon to complete The Yokai. PowerPyx lists the reward as 5,500 XP, Naoe’s Critical Insight skill and Yasuke’s Level-Headed skill. These are the walkthrough’s reward details, rather than figures attributed to an official Ubisoft quest guide.
