Where to find Godbug nodes
Godbug is the endemic life associated with the nodes that yield Godbug Essence; the item itself is a crafting material. Game8’s 2025 item guide lists these areas for Godbug nodes:

The area numbers identify places to search, not precise node coordinates. Open the map for the locale you are exploring and follow its gathering-point markers to locate a node. Game8’s separate Godbug guide says they can appear at any time and in any weather.
Other ways to get Godbug Essence
If you do not want to search for nodes, Game8 lists two alternatives:

- Evolved Hunting Action – The series’ acclaimed action-packed gameplay is back and more exciting than ever! Hunters can look forward to tracking down monsters with an array of new moves, special abilities, equipment, and more. The action also now flows seamlessly from cutscenes to gameplay, resulting in a new level of immersion.
- Material Retrieval: Apar in Suja and Rysher in Sild can provide Godbug Essence.
- Trade: Ren in Sild offers six Godbug Essence in exchange for two Origin Wylk Gems.
Gathering means visiting a node; retrieval uses the listed gatherers, while trading spends Origin Wylk Gems. The available guides do not establish which route is fastest or most efficient.
What Godbug Essence crafts
Game8 lists six recipes that use Godbug Essence. Each recipe also requires the ingredient shown here; the listed ingredient is not the full recipe.

Game8 lists Godbug Essence as a rarity 4 material with a sell price of 120z and a pouch limit of 10. Ascendance’s item database also lists rarity 4, sell value 120, and a maximum stack of 10. It additionally shows a buy value of 320, but does not explain the context for that figure.
