Search for wild beehives attached to tree trunks and branches. Start near the Exploration Club or on the small island across from Blue Beach, then check the wooded route west of Cloud Rest Lake and trees near the northern temple. These are reported search areas, not guaranteed spawns, so inspect several trees and return later if a spot is empty.
How to spot a wild beehive
Look up as well as around the base of trees: hives can sit on trunks or branches above eye level and blend into the canopy. A nearby insect is not necessarily a bee from a hive; the community guide distinguishes ordinary insects such as blue Velbee from bees associated with wild hives.
Medium Banyan and White Fig trees are mentioned as possible hive-bearing trees, but no fixed tree-species spawn rule is established. Treat them as useful clues, not a guarantee.

The locations below come from player reports and a community-maintained guide, rather than confirmed fixed spawn coordinates. Choose a route that is convenient for your current progress and inspect the trees along it.

What to do when you find a hive
Community accounts describe chopping a hive-bearing tree to collect its contents; one Steam discussion also reports obtaining honeycomb and catching bees after chopping a tree. These are player descriptions, not official documentation or independently confirmed mechanics. Community guide; Steam discussion
Why a reported spot may be empty
Players report empty locations and variation between visits or saves, so there is no established fixed spawn, guaranteed tree, or reliable honeycomb quantity. A community post dated February 19 reports that an update optimized beehive distribution in map scenes, but it is a secondary account rather than official patch documentation. A practical search loop
- Begin at the Exploration Club or the Blue Beach island, whichever is easier to reach.
- Inspect trunks and branches, especially on medium Banyan and White Fig trees, without assuming those species always hold a hive.
- If you find nothing, check the Cloud Rest Lake woods, the northern temple and Youfang path, then the guide’s backup areas at Panda House and Windflute Island.
- Revisit later if all sites are empty; player reports do not establish a fixed refresh schedule.
