Catch Kilima Catfish in ponds in Kilima Valley, Bahari Bay, or your Housing Plot. It is available at any time of day and prefers Worm bait. The item entry also lists a random ranching drop from Boovars. The in-game description says it is found only in Kilima Valley, but the listed catch locations also include Bahari Bay and the Housing Plot.
Where to find Kilima Catfish
Fish in a pond in any of the locations below. The fish entry lists all three as catch locations:
- Kilima Valley ponds
- Bahari Bay ponds
- Your Housing Plot pond
There is no time-of-day restriction listed for Kilima Catfish, so you can fish for it at any time. The item description’s “only in the Kilima Valley” wording conflicts with the broader catch-location list on the same entry; use the listed pond locations when deciding where to fish. How to catch it
- Equip a fishing rod and Worm bait.
- Cast into a pond in one of the listed locations.
- Recast as needed until you hook the fish.

- Product Type – Physical Holder: This product is a physical fishing rod style Joy-Con holder and grip accessory, designed only to change how the controller is held during gameplay; it does not add functions, signals, or controls to the Joy-Con itself.
- Controller Compatibility: Compatible only with original Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons and NOT compatible with Switch 2 Joy-Cons or other redesigned controller models due to physical size and structure differences.
- Game Dependency: Game compatibility depends entirely on the game’s own motion or gyro support; this holder does not enable motion control and cannot make unsupported fishing games work.
- Usage Experience: Lightweight rod-style design provides a more natural and comfortable way to hold Joy-Cons during supported gameplay, enhancing immersion through physical casting and reeling motions.
- What’s Included: Package includes 1 fishing rod grip holder only (Joy-Con controllers not included); ideal for users who understand this is a physical holder accessory, not a controller or electronic device.
