On Dam Battlegrounds, check the areas southeast of Hydroponic Dome Complex, Water Treatment Control Elevator, Red Lakes Balcony, and Lower Red Lakes Area. These are reported search zones, not guaranteed spawns; Water Treatment Control and Research & Administration are also identified as common Leaper areas by PC Gamer.
Reported Leaper search areas on Dam Battlegrounds
- Southeast of Hydroponic Dome Complex: Check the surrounding area southeast of the complex.
- Water Treatment Control Elevator: This landmark is listed by the community wiki and is near the Water Treatment Control area PC Gamer also identifies.
- Red Lakes Balcony: A community-reported area at Red Lakes.
- Lower Red Lakes Area: Another reported search zone around Red Lakes.
- Research & Administration: PC Gamer names this as a common Leaper area; it is not included in the wiki’s four-item Dam subarea list.
The ARC Raiders Wiki says its location list is incomplete and based on Raider testimonies. Neither source establishes exact coordinates or guarantees a Leaper during a particular raid, so treat these landmarks as places to search rather than fixed spawn points.
Finding Leapers on an interactive map
The Dam Battlegrounds interactive map identifies LEAPER as a Siege Engine, but its enemy filter lists markers under Bison. The wiki explains that Bison was the enemy’s earlier name, before the Server Slam test. If you use community map tools, check both “Leaper” and “Bison” labels. The map displayed 2,473 markers when accessed on October 8, 2026; that is the map site’s dataset count, not an official count of Leapers or a raid spawn total.
What to expect in a Leaper encounter
The wiki describes the Leaper as a heavy-armored, four-legged enemy that can leap across distances and release a shockwave that hits nearby players. It also describes the eye and leg joints as weaknesses. Its account says Leapers can appear in high-risk areas, guard valuable objectives, or patrol near smaller enemies; these are community-wiki descriptions, not official spawn rules.

The wiki suggests using Blaze Grenades followed by Heavy Ammo as a combat approach. Treat that as attributed guide advice, not a guaranteed or independently tested strategy.
Why you might be looking for one
The wiki lists the Leaper Pulse Unit as a unique Leaper loot item used to upgrade the Utility Station. PC Gamer also lists Leapers among ARC machines that can drop ARC Flex Rubber. Neither source establishes that every Leaper drops either item.

What is and is not known about spawns
The named areas come from community references and a game guide, rather than an official Embark Studios location list. The available sources do not establish spawn probabilities, exact coordinates, or a per-raid spawn schedule. A Reddit player discussion also mentions Red Lakes, but that is anecdotal corroboration rather than authoritative spawn evidence: Reddit discussion.
