Mine Volcanic Rock in the Forgotten Kingdom to find Obsidian Ore in The Forge. Community wiki listings give Obsidian a 1/333 drop chance from that rock, so expect a rare drop rather than a guaranteed find.
Where to mine Obsidian
Travel to the Forgotten Kingdom and mine Volcanic Rock. The Forge Roblox Wiki lists Obsidian as an Epic Ore found there, and a separate Fandom listing names the same region and rock: The Forge Roblox Wiki ore table and Fandom’s Obsidian entry.
Look specifically for Volcanic Rock, not Basalt. The cited listings associate Obsidian with Volcanic Rock; they do not list Basalt as its source.
How rare is the drop?
The Forge Roblox Wiki lists the Obsidian drop chance as 1/333. Treat that as a published community-wiki rate, not a guarantee that one out of every 333 rocks you mine will yield Obsidian. The consulted listings are not official developer documentation, and their accuracy against the live game is not established.

What is Obsidian used for?
The Forge Roblox Wiki says Obsidian adds 30% extra defense on armor. The same table lists a 2.35x multiplier and an in-game price of $35.25; it does not establish when or under what conditions that price applies. These are wiki-listed values and may change with game updates.
Do you need a specific mining-damage level?
A Fandom mining-page search result associates Volcanic Rock with 4,500 mining damage, but the page context could not be verified. Treat that figure as unconfirmed, not as a guaranteed current requirement. Check the rock’s in-game information before relying on a specific threshold.
