Pansage is in trees around Wild Zone 6, Pansear is on rooftops around Wild Zone 8, and Panpour is in trees on Autumnal Avenue, southwest of Wild Zone 3. Once you have all three, they need to be on your active team when you return to Servando, the quest giver outside Cafe Cyclone southeast of Wild Zone 2.
Where each Pokémon is reported
The walkthrough that serves as the main reference for this quest is Gamer Guides’ A Pan-tastic Pot of Tea Mission Guide, released 15 October 2025 and last updated 13 January 2026. It assigns each species its own landmark, so treat these as three separate checks rather than one shared spot.
| Pokémon | Where to look | Feature to inspect |
|---|---|---|
| Pansage | Around Wild Zone 6 | Trees |
| Pansear | Around Wild Zone 8 | Rooftops |
| Panpour | Autumnal Avenue, southwest of Wild Zone 3 | Trees |
The guide gives these as fixed landmarks rather than timed or random spawns. It does not state spawn odds, time-of-day windows, or how long a Pokémon stays in a given spot, so if one is missing on your first pass, check the same landmark again on a later visit before moving on.
Unlocking and completing the quest
The quest does not appear until you finish the main mission Reaching Rank V. After that, follow these steps:

Alternate tree spots reported outside the wild zones
A second guide, PowerPyx’s Pokemon Legends Z-A Pansage Location and its companion Pokemon Legends Z-A Panpour Location (both published 14 October 2025), reports that Pansage and Panpour can also appear in trees outside the wild zones. The spot it names is the street north of Wild Zone 6, and it says Pansear may appear in those trees instead. This makes the street a reasonable extra place to search, especially if the Wild Zone 6 trees are empty.

- Your journey will take you to all manner of sights in the streets arrayed around Prism Tower, including shops, restaurants, and places called wild zones—where Pokémon roam free.
- As you catch, train, and battle Pokémon, there will be plenty of people to meet too—like AZ, the enigmatic owner of Hotel Z.
PowerPyx suggests fast traveling or resting on a bench, then coming back to the spot to check again. The source does not establish spawn probabilities, a guaranteed rotation, or a complete list of alternate locations, so do not rely on this route as a sure thing. Treat it as a fallback to the main landmarks above.
Catching them when they run
The Pokémon Company’s general gameplay guidance, from Making the Most of Your Adventure (22 July 2025), says wild zones can be explored by day or night and that wild Pokémon can be found elsewhere in Lumiose City. It also notes that some Pokémon flee when they spot you. Hiding or approaching from behind can help you get close, and lowering a Pokémon’s HP in battle makes it easier to catch. This advice is general and is not a timing or catch method written for these three species.
