Find the waterfall across from the Crystal Gordo, fly through it, and use one Boom, one Tabby, and one Batty plort on the matching statues to open the portal.
How to reach the Powderfall Bluffs entrance
- Travel to Ember Valley. Head toward the region’s northern side.
- Locate the Crystal Gordo. The concealed cave entrance is behind the waterfall across from it. Fly into the waterfall to enter the cave; the route is described in the community walkthrough.
- Activate the statues. Place one Boom plort, one Tabby plort, and one Batty plort in their matching statues inside the cave.
- Enter the portal. Once the plort puzzle opens it, pass through to arrive in Powderfall Bluffs.
Which plorts open the portal?
The three required plorts are Boom, Tabby, and Batty—one of each, placed in the corresponding statues. The official update announcement describes Powderfall Bluffs but does not document this entrance puzzle; the route and puzzle details come from a community-maintained walkthrough.
What is Powderfall Bluffs?
Monomi Park describes Powderfall Bluffs as a mysterious glacier off Ember Valley and a winter biome added in the Song of the Sabers update. Its announced features include prehistoric Saber Slimes, Thundercluck chickens, new crafting resources, and auroral anomalies. At night, when the aurora glows intensely, the phenomena can be walked upon. See Monomi Park’s overview and the February 16, 2023 Song of the Sabers announcement.
Does Powderfall Bluffs have weather?
Yes. The official Slime Rancher 2 help center says weather can begin appearing in Powderfall Bluffs at any time after you discover the region. Weather is dynamic rather than tied to a preset schedule, so check the world map’s regional weather icons instead of waiting for a particular time.
