The Day 3 Onsen Egg Promise Treasure Hunt egg is beneath the stairs of the snow shelter in Heartopia’s Winter Utopia event area on Onsen Mountain. Look for the green cracked egg and photograph it with the in-game camera to register the hunt find.
Day 3 Onsen Egg location
- Travel to the Winter Utopia event area on Onsen Mountain.
- Find the snow shelter near Azure. Some guides call it an igloo.
- Check beneath the shelter’s stairs for the green cracked egg.
- Frame the egg with Heartopia’s camera and take a photo to add it to the hunt collection.
The location and photo interaction are described by GameXplore and NintendoSmash.
If the egg is missing
Check that you have activated the hunt and that the seasonal event area is available in your current game build. The guides cited here do not confirm whether the event remains completable as of October 8, 2026.
Do not confuse it with the Green Cracked Egg furniture
The Day 3 hunt egg is photographed under the event shelter stairs. A separate furniture bubble is under stairs in the Forest region’s Jump Puzzle area; collecting that bubble awards a Green Cracked Egg home decoration. These are different locations and interactions, as NintendoSmash’s location guide distinguishes.

The hunt was part of Heartopia’s Winter Frost Season. Fragster reports that each photographed egg awarded 5 Wishing Stars and 300 Fashionwave Tokens, and lists Developer’s Guild Member Level 7 plus completion of the beginner main-story quests as access requirements. These are guide-reported event details, not confirmation of current live-game rewards or requirements. Fragster’s event guide reports 16 eggs total; GameXplore identifies the Day 3 egg as added February 2, 2026. Those are historical schedule details, not evidence that the hunt is still active.
The cooked Onsen Egg recipe is separate from finding the Day 3 egg. Gamezebo reports that photographing all 16 hunt eggs unlocks the recipe. It uses one Pasteurised Egg, which the guide says Massimo sells for 100 Gold; it can be cooked at baskets in the onsen water. See Gamezebo’s Onsen Egg recipe guide.
