The Warding Bell is a Blue Tool in lower Far Fields, lying on a dead Smelt Shoveller beside the lower entrance to Deep Docks. It shields Hornet while she heals through Binding, but it does not guarantee the heal finishes. If an attack cancels the Bind, no healing happens and the Silk spent on that Bind is lost.
Where to find the Warding Bell
Head to the lower part of Far Fields and look for the lower entrance to Deep Docks. The Warding Bell sits on a dead Smelt Shoveller next to that entrance. Use the entrance as your landmark, since the corpse is the pickup point.

A step-by-step route from a specific bench is not confirmed in the sources we checked, so the Deep Docks entrance is the most reliable reference point available.
What it does while you heal
Binding is Hornet’s healing action, and it spends Silk to restore health. The Warding Bell activates when Hornet is struck during a Bind. Its shield can stop that incoming damage, which is the protection the item is built around. According to the in-game item entry, the shield also lingers briefly after the Bind completes, so an attack landing just after the heal can be blocked too.

What it protects against
- Damage from attacks that hit Hornet while she is binding.
- Attacks that land just after the Bind completes, during the short window the shield remains active.
- Some non-damaging attacks may trigger the Bell without interrupting the Bind.
What it does not do
- It does not guarantee the heal. If an attack cancels the Bind, healing does not occur and the Silk spent on that Bind is wasted.
- It does not negate knockback or Bind cancellation. The item entry is explicit that these still happen.
One guide summarises the Bell as negating damage and also knocking back enemies when Hornet is hit during Binding. The item entry itself does not confirm the enemy knockback part, so treat that detail as unverified.

The in-game description reads: “Holy bell inscribed with a hymn of protection. Shields the bearer as they bind their wounds.” This is the item’s own text rather than a quotation from a named character or developer.

Practical approach to healing with the Bell
- Equip the Warding Bell before you enter a fight where you expect to need a Bind.
- Bind when no enemy is in range to strike Hornet, since a canceled Bind wastes Silk regardless of the Bell.
- Expect the shield to protect against damage, not against interruption. If a hit cancels the Bind, you lose the heal and the Silk.
Our sources do not give a figure for how often the Bell prevents damage or how much Silk is recovered. Treat its value as a damage-blocking buffer during the Bind, not as a reliable healing tool in active combat.
