Toledo steel is a blacksmithing material in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The most promising place to look is the blacksmiths and armorers of Kuttenberg, but no vendor is guaranteed to stock it at any given time, because merchant inventory is randomised. If you cannot find it for sale, a locked dugout in the Kuttenberg region is a listed source of five pieces, though it comes with a hostile NPC.
Where to buy Toledo steel in Kuttenberg
Start with the Kuttenberg merchants. The INARA database lists the following vendors as possible sources, with the unit counts shown in its entries. These figures are database listings, not a record of what any particular save will show.

Trader stock is random, and INARA states that availability, price and quantities are not guaranteed. It also says traders typically restock after seven in-game days, so if a vendor is empty, leave the area for a week of in-game time and check again.

- A blacksmith between the bathhouse and the southeastern gate. The author reported that this blacksmith consistently had stock in their playthrough, at 25.4 Groschen per piece.
- A blacksmith near the western gate.
That guide predates later patches, and merchant stock changes, so treat the location as a place to check and the price as a historical observation from one playthrough. The same guide notes that merchants’ inventory chests can be hard or very hard to pick.
Other vendors outside Kuttenberg
INARA also lists Blacksmith Osina in Trosky as a possible source, but gives no quantity for her stock. Two traveling traders are listed with lower odds: Anton Stork (low chance) and Elbel Spangus (medium chance). If you are already in Trosky, check Osina’s stock, but do not plan a trip around her.
Loot option: the Locked dugout in Kuttenberg
If no vendor has Toledo steel, Gamer Guides lists a sack containing five pieces inside a locked dugout in the Kuttenberg region, at map coordinates X 15870, Y 9542. The entry says the door has a medium lock and that a hostile Smuggler is inside. Expect to fight or sneak past that NPC, and bring lockpicking tools.
The guide does not identify a patch version, and the listing comes from a third-party database. It is a more specific stash than the chance-based trader entries, but it is still unofficial information.

For most players, the fastest route is to check the Kuttenberg blacksmiths first, then wait out a seven-day restock if they are empty, and use the dugout only if you need the pieces right away.

The Toledo steel sword is a separate crafted weapon, not a raw material. It is tied to the side quest The Hermit, and its recipe uses one Ambrose’s broken sword, one Frankfurt steel and two scrap metal. Raw Toledo steel is not an ingredient in that recipe. Once crafted, the sword is given to Blacksmith Radovan and becomes the Sword for young Lord Semine, according to the game wiki.
What Toledo steel is used for
Toledo steel is a blacksmithing resource used in recipes for several weapons and other items. INARA lists Ataman’s sabre, Basilard, Duelling longsword, Guild Longsword, Henry’s sword reforged, St. George’s sword and Ghostly horseshoes among the examples it records.
What is and is not confirmed
- No source confirms the current patch number, so vendor stock and prices may differ from the figures above.
- Standa the Fly and Apprentice Pushko are marked as DLC content. The sources do not establish whether other listed vendors require DLC.
- No source establishes guaranteed inventory across saves, so a vendor that lacks Toledo steel in one save may stock it in another.
