For an early supply of weed stems in Grounded 2, look for grass flowers near Ranger Outpost: Snackbar and chop their seed heads with a level-one Omni-Axe. Husky weeds are a higher-yield option, but they require Omni-Axe II.
Where to find weed stems early
Search near Ranger Outpost: Snackbar
Head to Ranger Outpost: Snackbar and scan the grass for tall flower heads rising above the surrounding grass. PC Gamer’s weed stem guide describes grass flowers around the outpost as an accessible early-game source, including for players who have placed a first base nearby. Look for the visible seed heads rather than chopping ordinary grass.
Use the current map for a wider search
If you need more locations across Brookhollow Park, consult the Grounded 2 weed stem interactive map. It lists 27 known locations and was updated August 12, 2026. The guide’s page text does not provide every point as a readable list, so use the interactive map to view the locations rather than relying on a written coordinate list.
What to chop and which axe you need

To harvest grass flowers, bring the level-one Omni-Axe and chop the flower. Getting Omni-Axe II involves further park exploration for materials that include blueberry leather and roach chunks, according to PC Gamer’s guide. If you are not ready to pursue the upgrade, stay with grass flowers near the Snackbar.

How to carry and store weed stems
Weed stems are large resources carried by hand, not ordinary inventory items you can simply stack while walking. A Stem Pallet at your base provides storage for stems used in nearby construction. The Stem Pallet reference covers that storage option; a community-maintained item reference classifies weed stems as a Tier 1 hauling resource.
Since stems are chiefly used for stem buildings and other base structures, harvest near the place you plan to build when practical. That cuts down on the distance you have to haul them by hand.
