For equipment that needs automation or system design, involve an OEM or system integrator. For used, specialist, or hard-to-find machines, compare machinery dealers and industrial marketplaces. The right route depends on the machine’s technical requirements, your location, support needs, schedule, and tolerance for purchasing risk.
Choose a sourcing route that fits the purchase
Manufacturer or authorized distributor
Start with the manufacturer or an authorized sales channel when you need new equipment, configuration help, manufacturer-backed service, or confidence that branded components are authentic. For example, KraussMaffei’s marketplace lists new stock, showroom, and used machines, and describes custom adaptations and function expansions. Its statements about checked or overhauled used machines, testing to its standards, and a 12-month warranty apply to its own marketplace machines—not to used machinery generally. Rockwell Automation directs buyers to authorized distributors, OEM partners, system integrators, and technology partners. It describes system integrators as specialists that design, build, install, maintain, and support automation solutions. Rockwell says, “The only way to ensure you are purchasing authentic Allen-Bradley, FactoryTalk® or Rockwell Automation products is to buy directly from an authorized source.” That statement concerns Rockwell Automation products; it is not a general guarantee about every machinery category. OEM or system integrator
When the purchase is more than a standalone machine—such as an automated line, connected controls, or equipment that must fit an existing production system—ask the OEM and a qualified system integrator to define their respective responsibilities. Put design ownership, interfaces, installation, commissioning, training, and ongoing support in writing rather than assuming one party covers the full project.
#1 Best Overall
- Ultra-Strong Load Capacity: With a remarkable 13228 lbs load capacity, the heavy-duty design of the machine skate enables you to easily handle various large industrial items. It ensures that cargo remains stable and secure during transport, enhancing work efficiency while reducing manual labor costs.
- Flexible Steering: Equipped with a textured large disc that rotates 360°, our machinery skate dolly allows for full directional movement. Whether navigating narrow shelves or complex docks, it responds easily, making it effortless to move cargo in any direction with confidence and ease.
- Durable and Sturdy: Our heavy duty machinery skates adopt high-quality materials. The body is made of high-strength metal to ensure long-lasting performance without deformation. The powder-coated surface enhances corrosion resistance, avoiding rusting even in damp or dusty environments.
- Multi-Wheel Stability Design: The multi-wheel setup not only increases load capacity but also improves stability on uneven surfaces. Coupled with widened and thickened PP wheels that are wear-resistant and non-slip, the machinery movers with wheels provide a firm grip, ensuring smooth movement both indoors and outdoors.
- Simple and Easy to Use: You just need to simply lift the heavy item with a hoisting machine, position the dolly underneath, and repeat for all corners. Then, you can pull with the handle to transport. The machinery mover dollies can also be combined with different types of dollies for versatile use.
Specialist machinery dealer
Dealers can help locate specialist equipment, including used machines, trade-ins, and models not currently on a manufacturer’s stock list. The Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA) offers a Locator and dealer-finding resources for used machines and industrial equipment. Treat a listing or association membership as a way to discover sellers, not as a substitute for machine inspection, reference checks, or written sale terms. MDNA
Sterling Machinery Exchange says it buys, sells, and trades new and used machinery across manufacturers, including metalworking and fabrication equipment, and offers sourcing and quote assistance. It is an example of a specialist dealer, not a guarantee that a particular machine is available. Sterling Machinery manufacturer list

Industrial marketplaces
Marketplaces can broaden the search across sellers and equipment categories, especially for used machinery. Aucto describes listings across metalworking, material handling, process, plant, and automation equipment. Its buyer process includes finding an asset, making an offer or buying at the listed price, then paying and arranging pickup or requesting a delivery quote. Aucto says in-person inspections can be requested for most items and encourages inspection before bidding or making an offer. It also says most items are sold without warranties or guarantees, sale terms vary by listing, and sales are final—so confirm the specific listing’s condition, terms, and logistics before committing. Aucto
WorldMach describes a global B2B marketplace spanning areas such as metalworking, plastics, packaging, and food processing. It says it can coordinate services including on-site inspections, live video demonstrations, dismantling, container stuffing, customs clearance, and delivery. Confirm the service scope, cost, provider, and contractual responsibility for your machine and destination; those details are not established for every listing. WorldMach

Compare offers on more than the asking price
Use the same questions for every seller so that a low machine price does not obscure missing services, uncertain condition, or a poor fit.
- Technical fit: Confirm capacity, throughput, tolerances, materials, utilities, controls, footprint, interfaces, and required automation. For integrated equipment, identify who owns design, commissioning, and support.
- Condition and evidence: Establish whether the machine is new, showroom, rebuilt, or used. Request operating hours, maintenance and service history, test records, inspection access, and—where practical—a demonstration under power.
- Total delivered cost: Ask what the offer includes and who pays for rigging, disconnection, removal, freight, customs, installation, commissioning, training, and upgrades. These responsibilities vary by seller and listing.
- Availability and schedule: Distinguish stock status from build lead time and shipping time. Ask what happens if shipment or commissioning slips; inventory and delivery estimates can change.
- Warranty and service: Get the warranty scope and exclusions in writing, including any remaining coverage on used equipment. Check local technician availability, parts supply, response times, and who provides ongoing support; do not assume a used listing includes a warranty.
- Seller and transaction terms: Verify seller identity and, when relevant, authorization. Review inspection rights, deposits, payment method, cancellation or return terms, title and export documents, and the dispute process before paying.
Adapt the search to your location and machine
A sourcing route that works in one market may not work for another. Aucto describes logistics support in the United States and Canada, while WorldMach describes international marketplace and logistics activity; neither description establishes suitability for every country. Before shortlisting sellers, identify the destination, machinery class, applicable power and safety requirements, and the local service support the machine will need. Then confirm current inventory, lead time, warranty, partner status, and transaction terms directly with the seller.
