Mine Mining Outcrops in the Oilwell Basin to get Firestone. In low rank, focus on areas 13–16; in high rank, add areas 4, 6, and 7 to your route. Firestone is a random ore yield, so check several outcrops rather than relying on one.
Where to find Firestone
Firestone comes from Mining Outcrops in the Oilwell Basin. You do not need a mining tool or pickaxe to gather from them. Outcrops can yield different regional ores depending on rank, and Firestone is not guaranteed at every node. [Shacknews; Prima Games; Game8]

Low rank

Include areas 4, 6, and 7 as well as the lower-level route. Game8’s route visits areas 7, 6, and 4, then continues through areas 14 and 16 near Mining Cave and areas 13 and 17 near Limestone Cavern. [Game8]
How to farm Firestone efficiently
- Filter the detailed map for Mining Outcrops. This makes the gathering nodes easier to spot while moving through the basin. [Prima Games]
- Follow the route for your rank. In low rank, cover areas 13–16. In high rank, start at area 7 from Base Camp, visit areas 6 and 4 near Dilapidated Roadway camp, then gather in areas 14 and 16 near Mining Cave and 13 and 17 near Limestone Cavern. [Game8]
- Gather from multiple outcrops. Since the ore result is random, checking several nodes is more dependable than waiting at one for Firestone. [Game8]
- Return after the nodes refresh. Game8 reports a 15-minute Mining Outcrop cooldown. It also describes a way to refresh by starting an Oilwell Basin Optional Quest, gathering, and selecting “Return from Quest.” The timer and reset behavior are guide-reported mechanics, not confirmed by an official Capcom source, so check that the method still works in your current game build before depending on it. Other ways to obtain Firestone
Game8 also reports that Yabran at Azuz may offer Firestone through a trader inventory that rotates daily. Treat this as a secondary option: availability depends on the changing stock, and the information comes from a third-party guide. [Game8]
