If you mean the original Need for Speed: Underground released in 2003, no verified official digital download listing was found for it on EA, Steam, or GOG in the catalog checks reviewed on October 8, 2026. A used physical PC copy is the plausible remaining purchase route, but its condition, serial usability, and compatibility with a current PC are not guaranteed.

An EA forum answer says Underground and Underground 2 are no longer available from Origin and suggests checking retailers. That is historical community guidance, not confirmation of a current listing or stock. The Steam result checked was for a separate Need for Speed game, and the GOG result was a community post rather than an official catalog statement.
Where can you look for a copy?
Used physical PC copy
A used Need for Speed: Underground PC disc is the plausible purchase path supported by the historical retailer suggestion. Availability depends on individual sellers; the sources checked do not establish current inventory, prices, or whether a particular copy will install on a modern Windows PC.

- Confirm the listing is for the original 2003 game and the PC edition, not Underground 2 or another Need for Speed title.
- Ask which discs are included and whether they are readable.
- Check that any required serial or product code is included and usable; ask the seller whether it has already been used or disabled.
- Review the return policy in case the disc or code does not work.
Digital downloads and keys
EA’s guide to buying EA games identifies trusted digital retailers and warns that EA cannot help with a key or product code disabled after purchase from an unauthorized digital retailer. A listing for a cheap key is not proof that it is valid or authorized.
A third-party page advertises a downloadable copy of the game, but the available information does not establish that EA authorized it. Its existence alone is not evidence that downloading it is permitted. The third-party download listing should not be treated as a publisher-approved source.

Search using the full name and platform: Need for Speed: Underground (2003), PC. The title is easy to confuse with Need for Speed: Underground 2 and newer games in the series. Check the product name and edition in the listing itself rather than relying on a broad search result or a seller’s shorthand.
