How many Oddities are in Qinghe?
The most-cited figure is 161, from the Where Winds Meet Guide, Map & Wiki index at https://wherewindsmeet.gamertw.com/oddity. An older search result reports 162, but it does not give enough detail to show whether the difference comes from a patch, a changed category, or a counting method. Game8’s Oddity page, https://game8.co/games/Where-Winds-Meet/archives/564643, was still being filled in when it was last updated on April 2, 2026, so its detailed lists should be checked against the live map before you rely on them.
Because these totals come from community guides rather than the publisher, do not use either number as an official or permanent target. If your count and the guide disagree, the game’s own record is the one to trust.
The five Qinghe Oddity types
The guides list five Qinghe types: Dagger General, Enchanting Lotus, Ironwing Mantis, Redmist Beetle, and Whisper Hive. The cues below are the ones the map guide reports. They are summaries of written instructions, not results from testing by the author, so confirm them against the in-game prompt if your version reads differently.

How to plan a Qinghe Oddity route

- Open the interactive map and select Qinghe, then narrow to one subregion at a time.
- Filter for the Oddity point type only, so other collectibles do not clutter the route.
- Keep the in-game Sentient Beings record open. It shows what remains in each location and is the reference for your completion state.
- Work through one subregion fully before moving on, and mark what you collect in the game record rather than in a separate list.
- If a listed point is missing, check three things before assuming the map is wrong: whether access is blocked, whether the story has reached the required point, and whether the entry belongs to a different category or an older name.
- Use Wind Sense as a discovery aid. The Where Winds Meet Handbook recommends nearby markers and Wind Sense for finding Oddities; see https://wherewindsmeethandbook.com/oddities/explained/.
A third-party map is a route aid, not a checklist that proves completion. Coordinates and totals can drift after patches, so use the game record as the final check.
Oddities and Melodies of Peace progression
Game8 and the Where Winds Meet Handbook both connect Oddities to Melodies of Peace progression. The guides identify Qi Sheng as the Qinghe introduction and collector point, and a supplemental video guide covers Qinghe and Kaifeng upgrades and collector locations at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBfnaV1mm8M, published November 20, 2025. None of the sources gave a reliable exchange threshold that you can quote, so check the current exchange requirements in the game before planning around a specific number of Oddities.
Special Oddities are a separate set
Game8’s Special Oddity page, https://game8.co/games/Where-Winds-Meet/archives/579776, last updated April 1, 2026, reports ten Special Oddities across Qinghe and Kaifeng. Collecting them requires the Contortion Mystic Skill. Its Qinghe entries span several subregions, including:
- Floral Expanse Beyond and Sundara Land
- Mercyheart Town and Sundara Land
- Stonewash Strand and Verdant Wilds
- Peace Bell Tower and Moonveil Mountain
- Twinbeast Ridge and Moonveil Mountain
The available sources do not establish whether these special entries are included in the ordinary Qinghe Oddity total. Track them separately, and check the in-game counter to see how the game groups them.
