There is no verified, up-to-date master list of every side quest in Where Winds Meet. Start with the category shown in your quest log: guides often use “side quest” broadly, while a maintained English quest index separates several kinds of content. Use the checks below to find the right route and diagnose a quest that will not start or advance.
Identify the quest category first
The maintained English quest guide index distinguishes these log categories. Treat them as a way to narrow your search, not as a publisher taxonomy: older walkthroughs may use “side quest” for several different kinds of content.

The index includes route examples, but those examples are not a complete catalog. Search by the category and exact quest name together; a generic search for “side quest” can lead to a different type of content or an older route title.
How to find and complete a quest
- Read the quest log entry. Note its category, exact name, current objective, and any named region or NPC. Use those details to locate the matching route in the quest index.
- Check the region and story state. If the route does not begin at its listed location, check that you are in the right region and have completed any earlier story or NPC steps it depends on.
- Perform the listed trigger action. Reaching a marker may not activate a quest. Inspect or listen to the relevant object, speak to the NPC again, use the required item or skill, or select the relevant dialogue option when the objective calls for it.
- Check conditional triggers. If the NPC or event is absent, try the stated in-game time or weather, and account for chance-based appearances or cooldowns where the route calls for them. Do not treat these conditions as universal; they apply only when specified for that quest.
- Finish the final interaction. Follow the quest’s updated objective through its last conversation, use, or handoff, then check the log for completion rather than relying only on a map pin.
Use the map without mistaking a pin for a trigger
The publisher’s Official Interactive Map Tool can help you locate regions and points of interest. A map pin provides location context; it does not necessarily activate a quest. Confirm the trigger and progress in the game. Why a quest may be missing or stuck
- No encounter at the marker: Verify the region and story state, then check the NPC or object interaction. If the route specifies time, weather, chance, or a cooldown, account for that condition.
- The marker is present but nothing happens: Look for a separate inspect, listen, use-item, skill, or dialogue action. Arrival alone may not be the trigger.
- The route will not continue: Check the objective text and quest chain for an earlier NPC step, prerequisite, or required item. Some Jianghu Legacy routes are longer chains rather than one-off tasks.
- A completed point of interest seems to have vanished: The May 27, 2026 patch notes say completed gameplay icons are hidden by default and can be shown or hidden through the World Map POI Filter. Check that filter before assuming the objective is unavailable.
Quest updates, replay, and guide freshness
Quest coverage changes as the game updates. In a July 19, 2026 developer letter about Hidden Mountain, the publisher described four main areas, 14 sub-regions, eight Jianghu Legacies, and dozens of side stories. Those figures describe that update’s Hidden Mountain content; they are not a total count of every quest in the game. The letter characterized the game as a “living Jianghu” that “continuously grows and evolves.” Read the developer letter.
Replay is not universal. The publisher’s May 27, 2026 patch notes specifically added replay for Hexi Jianghu Legacy “In the Quiet of Night” and Hexi Campaign “Sunken City Lake”; they do not establish that every quest can be replayed. Read the patch notes.
