That is a limited comparison of launch requirements—not proof that it is the smallest Call of Duty game ever, or the smallest current install across every platform.
Recent Call of Duty PC storage requirements compared
Activision’s figures below describe launch storage requirements, not a consistent measurement of the games’ current installed folders or download sizes.
| Game | Listed available space | What the figure covers |
|---|---|---|
| Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 | 102 GB | PC SSD space at launch; additional space for Warzone is excluded. Activision Support |
| Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 | 115 GB | PC SSD space at launch; mandatory updates may need more room. Activision Support |
| Call of Duty: Warzone | 116 GB | PC SSD space at launch; updates may need additional room. Activision Support |
| Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III | 149 GB | Full-game PC launch requirement. Multiplayer-only requirements are 79 GB with COD HQ, or 34 GB if COD HQ is already installed. An optional Hi-Rez assets cache is also listed. Activision Support |
What “available space” means
Available space is the storage capacity Activision says should be free for installation; it does not necessarily equal the amount downloaded or the final size of the installed game folder. The cited pages present launch requirements and warn that updates can change how much room is needed. Modern Warfare III also separates its full-game requirement from multiplayer-only installation and an optional asset cache.
Why the answer can change with the installation
Modes and shared components
The amount of space depends on which game components are installed. For example, Modern Warfare III lists a smaller multiplayer-only requirement when COD HQ is already installed than when it is not. Its 149 GB full-game figure is therefore not a like-for-like comparison with that 34 GB multiplayer-only figure.

Updates and changing Call of Duty files
Activision’s Black Ops 6 installation guide says older files from Black Ops 6 installed within the Call of Duty experience were scheduled to be automatically removed on July 7, 2026, to help free storage. The same page says Black Ops 6 moved outside that experience as a standalone title across platforms. This illustrates why a launch figure should not be treated as a permanent current install size.

No—not from these figures alone. They cover four recent PC launch requirement sets, not every Call of Duty title, current installations, or equivalent builds on consoles. The supported conclusion is narrower: in this four-title official PC launch comparison, Black Ops 6 has the lowest listed available-space requirement, at 102 GB.

- A TEAM SPORT, NOT A TOSS GAME. Two teams play at the same time. One side attacks the pole, the other defends and intercepts. First to eleven, win by two.
- OFFENSE AND DEFENSE, LIVE. Passing, interceptions, turnovers, rebounds and penalty shots. Possession changes constantly, so the game moves instead of taking turns.
- BUILT FOR FOUR TO TEN. Flexible team sizes from two-a-side to five-a-side. Best with six or more.
