KRAFTON describes the cities’ broad cultural inspirations as Korean for Dowon, North American for Bliss Bay, and Southeast Asian or tropical for Cahaya. These are setting cues, not measures of which city is better.

Choose Dowon for an urban routine
Dowon is the clearest fit if you want your Zoi surrounded by city streets and office buildings, with cafés, karaoke, and subway corridors as part of the setting. It is the pick for a city-focused day-to-day atmosphere rather than a beach or island retreat.
Choose Bliss Bay for coast and recreation
Bliss Bay suits players drawn to waterfront neighborhoods, a pier amusement park, surfing, and skateboarding. Its buses and more spread-out environment offer a different feel from Dowon’s dense streets. The reported 14 residential lots are specific to Playnews’s guide for v0.9.6, not a quality score or a guaranteed count in later versions.

Choose Cahaya for an island getaway
Cahaya’s design centers on island exploration and relaxed outdoor activities, including farming, boating, and fishing. KRAFTON director Kjun called it “an island getaway” in a July 18, 2025 letter. If you want a home setting built around retreat and exploration rather than urban bustle, Cahaya is the natural match.

If a particular career is central to your plan, verify it in the live game rather than relying on an older list. KRAFTON’s April 29, 2026 v0.8.0 notes list Researcher, IT Developer, Architect, Music Producer, and Journalist for both Dowon and Bliss Bay, and Travel Agent for Cahaya. These notes are dated and do not establish every current job or school option. An earlier June 2025 Cahaya announcement said jobs and schools were excluded from its original design; the later Travel Agent listing means that old announcement should not be treated as a current no-jobs rule.
Can you visit Cahaya from another home city?
KRAFTON’s July 2025 letter said players could make brief trips to Cahaya while living in Dowon or Bliss Bay. That makes either city a reasonable starting home if you also want to experience Cahaya. Because that statement describes design intent from 2025, check current in-game travel behavior before making the home-city choice depend on it.
What to verify in your current version
- Check the in-game career list if a specific job matters; the cited official list is from April 2026.
- Treat Bliss Bay’s residential-lot count and city details as version-specific: Playnews’s August 9, 2026 guide is based on v0.9.6, which it identifies as released July 30, 2026.
- Confirm school availability and travel rules in current in-game information or newer official patch notes; the cited sources do not settle their present status.
The detailed Dowon guide cited here was published July 26, 2026. City descriptions and activity details are better supported than a claim that one map is objectively superior, so make the choice around the setting and repeatable activities you personally want.
