What an unlisted game’s status means
If a title does not appear in the catalog, that means it is unlisted or untested there—not that it has been confirmed incompatible. FramePort’s README says unlisted apps may work and that the software may suggest patches. The project invites users to share working configurations and report problems. A community announcement also includes one user’s report that Resident Evil 4 worked; that is an individual report, not a validated catalog entry. What FramePort does—and what it does not mean
FramePort is community-developed software for installing Quest, Android, and general PCVR apps on Steam Frame. Its documented workflow uploads game files, sets up the Frame, applies compatibility patches, signs apps, adds Steam library shortcuts, and lets the user launch-test. You supply legally obtained game files: FramePort says it does not download, share, or unlock games. It uses and wraps published tools including OVRPort and Valve’s Lepton, Proton, and SteamVR. Do not treat a Steam Frame compatibility badge as a Quest APK result. Valve’s compatibility process concerns Steam games running locally on Frame and does not cover games streamed from a PC. FramePort’s Quest-app catalog is a separate, community-reported effort. Valve’s compatibility process.
What you need to transfer and install a game
FramePort’s README describes connecting the Frame and computer to the same Wi-Fi for initial setup. You scan a folder containing backups—an APK plus OBB files, or PCVR game folders—then select a game and install it to the Frame. You must provide legally obtained files. FramePort README.

The Quest-to-Frame transfer documentation lists a data-capable USB cable among PC prerequisites and says to connect headsets to the PC one at a time. The documented requirement is data transfer; it does not specify a particular brand, cable length, connector combination, or premium specification. Quest-to-Frame transfer documentation.
- Prepare your legally obtained Quest game backup, including its APK and any OBB files.
- For the Quest-to-PC backup step, connect the headset to the computer with a data-capable USB cable, one headset at a time.
- Connect the computer and Steam Frame to the same Wi-Fi for FramePort’s initial setup.
- In FramePort, scan the folder containing the backup, select the game, and install it to the Frame; then launch-test it.
How to interpret the list
- Works: FramePort reports a working result for that listed title.
- Works with issues: the game has a documented limitation that may affect play.
- Doesn’t run: FramePort reports a failure, sometimes with a specific driver or architecture cause.
- Not listed: no catalog status is established; absence alone is not a failure result.
For a title you care about, check the live catalog entry and its issue notes rather than relying on a general Steam Frame badge or on platform-level Android support. The catalog and FramePort software can change, so the dated results above should be read as the project’s reported state on October 4, 2026.
