Samsung announced NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility for its 2025 OLED TV lineup, naming the S95F first. Its February 2026 announcement specifically lists the S95H, S90H and S85H. G-SYNC can synchronize a TV’s refresh rate with a compatible NVIDIA GPU’s frame rate to help reduce screen tearing and stuttering, but the model year, exact SKU and PC setup matter.
Which Samsung OLED TVs are listed as G-SYNC Compatible?
Samsung’s announcements cover two separate model years. The February 2026 release names three compatible OLED models; the May 2025 release names the S95F and says compatibility would roll out to other 2025 OLED models, without listing every model or regional SKU.

Do not treat the 2025 rollout language as confirmation that every S95F-region variant, or every other 2025 OLED model, has the feature. What G-SYNC does on a TV
A display normally refreshes at a set cadence, while a PC game may produce frames at a changing rate. With variable refresh rate (VRR), G-SYNC-compatible display and GPU can synchronize refresh timing with frame delivery. Samsung says this can reduce tearing and stuttering. It is not a guarantee of a fixed frame rate, nor does the compatibility label by itself establish a particular level of performance in every game or PC configuration.

Samsung’s 2025 gaming feature announcement also discusses AMD FreeSync, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Gaming Hub, Game Bar and AI Auto Game Mode. These are separate gaming features, and availability or specifications can vary by model; G-SYNC compatibility alone does not establish that every listed feature is present on every OLED TV.
What you need to use G-SYNC
- A Samsung TV model and regional SKU for which G-SYNC compatibility is confirmed.
- A compatible NVIDIA graphics card. Samsung does not specify a particular card in these announcements.
- A PC game and system capable of delivering the resolution and frame rate you want. Samsung’s 4K 165Hz qualification is specifically for PC-connected games that support those specifications and requires a suitable graphics card; it should not be read as a promise that all games or inputs run at 4K and 165Hz.
- VRR enabled where required in both the TV settings and the NVIDIA GPU driver. Samsung notes that setup requirements and performance depend on system configuration.

How to choose between a 2025 and 2026 model
- Check the complete model code and region. A family name alone may not confirm that the particular regional SKU has the feature.
- Match the model to Samsung’s stated list. The 2026 announcement names the S95H, S90H and S85H. For 2025, the announcement names the S95F and describes a later rollout without identifying all additional models.
- Match refresh rate to your actual PC use. The published figures are manufacturer-stated ceilings, not independent gaming-performance measurements. For 4K 165Hz, Samsung’s US release specifies a supported PC game and suitable graphics card.
- Verify the feature before purchase. Check Samsung’s regional product page or documentation for the exact SKU, particularly for 2025 models beyond the S95F.
What the announcements do—and do not—prove
Samsung’s stated refresh-rate figures describe supported capabilities, not a measured reduction in tearing or stutter. The announcements do not provide independent lab results, and a TV’s maximum refresh rate should not be confused with the frame rate a game or PC can sustain. Samsung characterizes the 2025 feature set as aimed at competitive play, but that is promotional language rather than an independent performance finding.
