The refit also removes Trade Bars from event activities; PvP quests and combat can instead award Pelinal’s Boon Boxes.
What changed in the 2026 refit?
The August 2026 return recasts Whitestrake’s Mayhem as a shorter, more frequent PvP spotlight. ZeniMax Online Studios’ description, reproduced in the official ESO forum discussion, says the one-week format is intended to make the event a lighter, drop-in activity that can run several times a year. The official ESO news listing identifies the August return as a refit.
The key change for event rewards is that Trade Bars, formerly called event tickets, are no longer granted through the refit’s activities. The Impresario remains available for players seeking past event rewards; future new Whitestrake’s Mayhem rewards are expected to be focused through Pelinal’s Boon Boxes.
What bonuses are available?
- Alliance Points: +100% from eligible PvP activity.
- Experience: +100% XP.
- Tel Var stones: +100% from most sources while fighting in the relevant PvP zones. The bonus is not stated to apply to every source.
- Cyrodiil harvesting: gathering yields additional resources during the event.
These are the refit’s stated event rules, as described in the official forum post. The bonuses are separate from the Boon Box reward channel: they increase eligible gains or harvesting yields, while boxes come from PvP participation.

How do you get Pelinal’s Boon Boxes?
Earn boxes through PvP combat and eligible PvP quests. The official ESO support guide lists these daily quest types for the version it documents:
- Battleground quests.
- Cyrodiil scouting, battle, warfront, and conquest missions.
- Elder Scroll capture and recapture quests.
- Cyrodiil town quests.
- Imperial City daily quests.
The support guide says Boon Boxes can be awarded alongside normal containers and as daily PvP quest rewards. It lists possible contents such as Tel Var, repair kits, soul gems, alliance and Akaviri style items, siege equipment, motif chapters, a furnishing book, a Forward Camp, collectible fragments, a Transmute Geode, and outfit style pages. These are possible rewards, not a guarantee that any particular box will contain a specific item; the page also includes details from an earlier event configuration.

What are the Whitestrake’s Mayhem dates?
The August 2026 return is the confirmed event timing in the cited official announcement material. The forum post describes a then-current plan for another run in November 2026, followed by events approximately once every three months in 2027. It explicitly says that schedule may change. The cited material does not confirm exact November start and end times or the next run’s precise reward list, so treat those dates and cadence as provisional rather than a fixed calendar.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does Whitestrake’s Mayhem still give event tickets?
No. Under the 2026 refit rules, the event no longer grants Trade Bars (the former event-ticket currency). An older configuration described on the support page includes event-ticket information, so it should not be used to infer the later refit’s rules. For the August return, use the updated refit description: no Trade Bars from event activities, with Pelinal’s Boon Boxes as the event reward focus.
