The clearest confirmed LGBTQIA+ representation among VALORANT agents is Clove, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, and Killjoy and Raze, who are a couple. Riot has also highlighted Phoenix’s mothers as queer family representation, but that does not establish Phoenix’s own identity.
Which VALORANT agents are LGBTQIA+?
Clove is non-binary
Riot’s 2024 Impact Report, published in 2025, explicitly says Clove identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. The report says the character’s development included consultation with people knowledgeable about Scottish culture and the non-binary experience.

Killjoy and Raze are a couple
Riot has confirmed Killjoy and Raze’s romantic relationship. In its 2023 Pride article, Riot referred to sharing an image of the two agents kissing. Riot’s 2026 VALORANT Pride feature also recalls creators celebrating when their relationship was confirmed. These sources establish that they are a couple; they do not require assigning either agent an additional identity label.
What about Phoenix’s mothers?
Riot’s 2026 Pride feature mentions the reveal of Phoenix’s mothers as a moment celebrated by queer community members. That is representation through a character’s family story. It does not establish Phoenix’s sexual orientation or gender identity, so he should not be described as an LGBTQIA+ agent on that basis alone.

Identity, relationships, and family representation
These examples represent LGBTQIA+ people in different ways: Clove’s gender identity is explicitly stated; Killjoy and Raze’s relationship is confirmed; and Phoenix’s mothers are part of a queer family story. Keeping those categories distinct avoids turning a character’s relationship or family context into an unsupported claim about the character’s own identity.

Riot’s official Agents page lists the game’s roster, including Clove, Killjoy, Phoenix, and Raze. It is useful for checking who is an agent, but Riot does not use that roster page to label agents’ identities.
