Nintendo has not officially confirmed a spouse or romantic partner for Isabelle. Its official character descriptions name her role as town secretary and her twin brother Digby, but they do not mention a husband, wife, or partner. The Isabelle and Doom Slayer pairing that circulates online is fan content, not an established Nintendo marriage.
What Nintendo’s official material says about Isabelle
Isabelle is presented by Nintendo as a friendly, helpful secretary who handles town business. Nintendo’s Play Nintendo character page describes her as “the eyes and ears of your village,” and calls her “This friendly and helpful secretary.” That is her defined role in the official material.

Nintendo’s US product page for the Isabelle Super Smash Bros. amiibo describes her as “the mayor’s highly capable secretary from the Animal Crossing™: New Leaf game,” and adds: “She also has a twin brother named Digby.” The Canadian Isabelle (Winter Outfit) amiibo page, which lists a release date of November 13, 2015, repeats the same secretary role and Digby relationship.
What the official sources do not establish
None of the Nintendo descriptions reviewed names a spouse, partner, or romantic relationship for Isabelle. The accurate statement is that Nintendo has not officially confirmed a spouse for her. It is not accurate to say Nintendo has declared her single. Official character bios focus on job and family, so silence on romance is not a ruling on it.

The sources also do not contain any official quotation that addresses her marital status directly. Any claim that she is married, or that she is unmarried, goes beyond what Nintendo has published.
Why the Doom Slayer marriage is not canon
The “Isabelle married Doom Slayer” idea is a meme and fan pairing. Fan discussion includes disagreement about whether it counts as canon, but the Nintendo material does not name Doom Slayer or any other spouse for Isabelle. Treat fan posts, jokes, and shipping content as fan creations unless an official in-game or Nintendo source says otherwise.

- Set includes a random selection of Animal Crossing characters plus 1 Special Character.
- Use Animal Crossing amiibo figures and cards to unlock customizations like costumes for your amiibo characters and new houses for your board game village.
- Use an amiibo card in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game and to invite a character to your campsite or to Harvey's Photopia!
- For use with Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo 2DS systems, a Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader/Writer accessory is required to tap in amiibo Cards or amiibo figures.
A secondary article that surfaced in search also states that Isabelle has no official spouse. It is not a Nintendo source, so it is useful only as background. The Nintendo character pages are the stronger evidence.
How to check for future official changes
- Check Nintendo’s own Animal Crossing character pages and the official Animal Crossing site for any updated character biography.
- Look for an in-game statement from Isabelle herself. Official dialogue or an in-game event is stronger evidence than a fan wiki or a social media post.
- Be cautious with posts that cite “leaks” or unnamed insiders. None of the official pages reviewed supports a marriage.
Isabelle amiibo figures
Nintendo has released official Isabelle amiibo figures, including the New Leaf-based Super Smash Bros. figure and the Canadian Winter Outfit figure. These pages verify the figures as official products, but they do not establish current availability or price. Nintendo’s product page also states that amiibo provide “fun in-game extra features” in compatible games, that functionality varies, and that products are sold separately. Check compatibility for a specific game before buying. The figures say nothing about Isabelle’s relationship status.
