What the official sources say about Scorpion
The Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary character profile identifies Scorpion as Hanzo Hasashi and describes him as the grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu. It ties his pursuit of vengeance to the murder of his family and clan, naming Quan Chi as the murderer he pursued. The profile’s character quiz identifies Scorpion’s weapon as a rope or chain with a kunai tip.
Those details establish part of Scorpion’s background and a weapon associated with him; they do not, by themselves, prove that he would defeat Noob Saibot. The official Noob Saibot material cited above establishes his inclusion and reimagined status, but does not provide enough comparative combat detail to balance the two characters fairly.
