Rockstar’s official Lucia biography frames her as determined and willing to take control of her future. The page says she is “committed to her plan — no matter what it takes”; that is promotional character copy, not a full account of the game’s plot.
What is Lucia’s backstory?
Rockstar says Lucia’s father taught her to fight “as soon as she could walk.” It also says that fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary. The biography connects her family’s past with Liberty City: Lucia wants the good life her mother has dreamed of since their days there.

What is Lucia’s relationship with Jason?
Rockstar’s Lucia biography says, “A life with Jason could be her way out.” The main story description says the pair must rely on each other after their attempted score goes wrong and a wider conspiracy closes in. The official material does not give their relationship a more specific label, so it is safest to describe Jason as Lucia’s partner in the story rather than assume details beyond Rockstar’s wording.
Game writer Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern described the protagonists as “vulnerable, tough, flawed,” and said they can learn from each other. PC Gamer reported those remarks from an interview; they are a writer’s description of the characters, not a substitute for a complete official plot summary.

Can you play as Lucia separately from Jason?
PC Gamer’s August 26, 2026 coverage of a Dazed preview reported that players could choose to play as the pair together or go off and cause chaos independently. Its example described Jason driving while Lucia used an in-game phone. This is preview reporting, not a guarantee that the example explains every gameplay situation or the final game in full.

In an announcement dated June 24, 2026, publisher Take-Two listed Grand Theft Auto VI for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement listed the standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. These are publisher-announced prices and timing, which may change.
