Capcom’s own development interview confirms the team spent more than six months auditioning candidates before choosing Ada’s face model, but that interview does not name the person selected. The name therefore comes from secondary reference sources, not from an official credit. Ada’s face model is also not the same across every game: a separate fan profile credits Ty Brenneman for Resident Evil 6.
Who the fan references name for the remakes
The Resident Evil Wiki’s remake entry lists Adriana as the model for Ada in both the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake and the 2023 Resident Evil 4 remake. This is a fan-maintained source, not a Capcom credit, so it should be read as the commonly repeated attribution rather than a confirmed studio statement. The sources reviewed do not establish a biography for Adriana or show that she has publicly confirmed the credit.
What the official development interview confirms
In a 2020 anniversary interview published on PlayStation.Blog, Resident Evil 2 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi described the work behind Ada’s design. He said the team went through many costume iterations for her and spent over six months on auditions before settling on her face model. In the interview text available, he does not name the selected model.
That gives you two verified points and one open one:

- TERRIFYING ZOMBIES WAITING AROUND EVERY CORNER -- Driven by insatiable hunger, these creatures act on instinct, gnashing their teeth, ripping at flesh, and devouring their victims. The new immersive camera lets you feel their fangs as they sink into your flesh.
- RACCOON CITY, REBUILT IN INTRICATE DETAIL -- The characters, environments, and story have all been rebuilt from the ground up to create a terrifying world that feels both nostalgic and new.
- NEW FOR PLAYSTATION5 – Upgraded features new to the PlayStation5 version of the game include a higher frame rate, 3D audio, added ray tracing, and engaging DualSense support for Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers.
- Verified: the team ran a lengthy audition process for Ada’s face model, as described by the producer in that interview.
- Verified: the interview treats the face-model choice as a development decision, not an afterthought.
- Not established by that interview: the identity of the chosen model. Adriana comes from the fan-maintained reference, and the interview should not be cited as naming her.
The six-month figure is a single development detail from one interview. It describes how long the process took, not how many candidates were seen.
Resident Evil 6 is a separate credit
An Ada Wong fan profile lists Ty Brenneman under “Face model” and ties that credit to Resident Evil 6. This is a lower-confidence, title-specific entry from a fan source, and it does not carry over to the remakes. If you are answering a question about the remake, Adriana is the relevant name; if you are answering about Resident Evil 6, Brenneman is the name the fan profile gives.

Which game each name applies to
| Ada Wong appearance | Face model credited | Source used | Source strength |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resident Evil 2 (2019 remake) | Adriana | Resident Evil Wiki remake entry | Fan-maintained; not a Capcom credit. The PlayStation.Blog interview confirms the audition process but does not name the model. |
| Resident Evil 4 (2023 remake) | Adriana | Resident Evil Wiki remake entry | Fan-maintained; not a Capcom credit. |
| Resident Evil 6 | Ty Brenneman | Ada Wong fan profile, “Face model” category | Fan-maintained and lower confidence. |
| Other Ada appearances | Not stated | No source reviewed names a face model for them | Not established. |
Face likeness, voice and motion capture are different credits
Most confusion about Ada’s face model comes from mixing up credit types. A character can have several performers, each doing a different job, and a source that lists one of them is not automatically naming the face model. The fan references separate these categories:
- Face model: the person whose likeness informed the character’s face.
- Voice performer: the actor who recorded Ada’s lines. The same references list Lily Gao in this role.
- Motion-capture performer: the performer whose body movement was recorded for animation. The same references list Jolene Anderson in this role.
Before accepting a name as Ada’s face model, check which of these categories the source actually uses. A voice actor or motion-capture performer should not be presented as the face model, and Adriana should not be confused with either of them.

Tomonori Takano’s design role
The PlayStation.Blog interview says Resident Evil 7 art director Tomonori Takano joined the team and helped with the remake designs for Ada, Claire and Sherry. That is a design contribution. It does not identify Takano as the face model, and it is not evidence for or against Adriana.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the evidence does not settle
- Capcom’s published interview does not name Ada’s face model for the Resident Evil 2 remake.
- No official credit found in the sources names Adriana for the Resident Evil 4 remake; that attribution rests on the fan-maintained reference.
- Adriana’s background, and whether she has personally confirmed the credit, are not established by the sources reviewed.
- The sources reviewed do not identify face models for Ada’s earlier appearances, so this article does not extend the answer to them.
If an official credit or a direct statement from the performer appears later, it would supersede the fan-maintained attribution above.
