The Replacer is a promotional Call of Duty character who appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as a playable Rogue Black Ops Operator. He is a gameplay persona you can unlock as a cosmetic Operator, not a central figure in the Black Ops 6 campaign story. Activision describes him as a character who first appeared in Black Ops 2, was last seen in Black Ops 4‘s Blackout mode, and was then brought into Black Ops 6 with a playable Operator skin and a digital bundle.
What he is inside Black Ops 6
In Black Ops 6, Call of Duty lists The Replacer among the Rogue Black Ops Operators. That faction label places him in the multiplayer roster as a selectable Operator. The official Season 01 article presents him as part of the game’s gameplay content, not as a character with a defined role in the single-player plot, so readers looking for his story arc in the campaign will not find one in the official material.

Where the character comes from
The Replacer predates Black Ops 6 by about a decade. Activision’s official Season 01 article says he first appeared in Black Ops 2 (2012). Before his Black Ops 6 takeover, the same article says he was last seen in the Blackout mode of Black Ops 4 (2018). His Black Ops 6 appearance is therefore a return rather than a debut, and it sits within Call of Duty’s pattern of bringing older promotional personas back as Operator skins.
Who voices him
The official Season 01 bundle description credits the role with the line: “The Replacer voiced by Peter Stormare.” That is a credit for the performer’s voice work. It does not establish that Peter Stormare is the character’s identity within the fiction, and the official material does not explain the character’s backstory beyond what is described above.

The line he is known for
Official Season 01 material attributes this in-game line to The Replacer: “I’m your daddy now.” It is the only dialogue quoted in the official Season 01 material, and it is best read as a character voice line from the Operator’s in-game presence rather than a statement about his origin.
The Season 01 bundle
The Season 01 bundle, announced in Activision’s official Season 01 article, was a package of digital content. Its listed contents were:

- A calling card, an emblem, a finishing move, and a vehicle weapon charm.
The BlackCell skin carried an ownership condition: the player had to own Season 01 BlackCell before buying the bundle. Season 01 store and Battle Pass details were published on November 12, 2024, and the Season 01 content was scheduled to begin arriving on November 14, 2024. These are historical release dates. They do not tell you what is in the store today.
Later appearances
In July 2025, Call of Duty’s Season 05 announcement introduced two more Replacer Operator skins, “Strike Force” and “Replacement Warrior,” and described the bundle’s return. That confirms the character has continued to appear in promotional content after Season 01. It does not confirm that the bundle is available for purchase now.

How to get The Replacer
There are two separate things to acquire. Keep them apart when you check availability:
- The base game. Black Ops 6 launched worldwide on October 25, 2024, according to Activision’s launch announcement. Buying the game gives you access to the Operator roster, but it does not include The Replacer bundle.
- The Replacer bundle or individual skins. These are digital store items. Open the in-game store in Black Ops 6 and search for “Replacer” to see whether a bundle or skin is currently listed on your platform. If the bundle appears, check its price and ownership conditions before buying, since the Season 01 BlackCell skin required prior ownership.
Store availability changes by season and by platform, and the official sources reviewed for this article date to 2024 and 2025. Treat any listing you find in your own store as the current status.

What is not established
The official material does not describe a physical Replacer product such as a figure, book, or collectible. Nor does it give a backstory for the character beyond his earlier appearances. If you come across a physical product or a character story presented as official, check it against Activision’s own announcements before relying on it.
