O.B. Oberon killed Larry Pinkstock in High on Life 2. To solve the party’s murder mystery and earn the missable “Columbo in Space” achievement, gather the evidence during Larry’s bounty, then accuse Oberon and choose the matching motive and clues.

- O.B. Oberon
- “Because Pinkstock is responsible for her brother’s death”
- “She’s wearing a rosy perfume”
- “She won a shooting competition trophy”
- “Nobody else could have fired the shot”
This is the answer sequence reported by multiple walkthroughs. Their accounts most often give Oberon a revenge motive: Pinkstock was responsible for her brother’s death. One less widely reported version says she acted out of jealousy over Larry’s relationship with Kimberly, so use the brother-related dialogue option for the documented accusation sequence.
Why O.B. Oberon is the killer
The guides’ explanation points to three clues that distinguish Oberon from the other VIP suspects: she has a personal motive connected to Pinkstock, wears rosy perfume, and has shooting experience. Those details support the game’s final accusation that nobody else could have made the shot.

The four VIP suspects are Admiral Sessions, O.B. Oberon, Richard Twelfth the Eighth, and Edeline Moss. The choice is not based on suspect identity alone: evidence gathered around the room is needed to unlock or support the correct dialogue.
Where to look for the murder mystery clues
Search the party room before making an accusation. The guides identify these evidence locations; interact with the objects and inspect the body where indicated:

- Detention slip: behind the evidence counter in the center of the room.
- Medical ID card: on the toppled sofa; it belongs to Edeline.
- Crime photo: under the sofa.
- Military order: in a cupboard near the sofa.
- 500,000-peso check: behind O.B. Oberon.
- Honorable service record: on the back side of the counter behind Oberon.
- Other reported evidence: a newspaper clipping, missing poster, divorce papers, and a gold shooting trophy are listed by some guides, with the trophy described as being behind Admiral Sessions.
There is a discrepancy around the shooting trophy: another guide attributes a first-place sharpshooting trophy to Jellica Bleams. The sources do not establish which trophy is the intended proof for the accusation, so follow the in-game prompt and collect the available evidence rather than relying on a single guide’s trophy location.
“Columbo in Space” achievement: what to avoid
“Columbo in Space” is a secret, missable achievement tied to solving the Larry Pinkstock mystery during his bounty. The mystery is optional for story progress, but the correct solution is required for the achievement. TrueAchievements lists it as worth 20 Gamerscore; that figure is for the Xbox achievement listing.

- Wreak havoc at the galaxy’s biggest convention, get lost in the mysterious woods of a medieval planet, and slash your way through the belly of a sea beast on your cosmic quest to take down Big Pharma.
Do not press the red button in the center of the room and choose “Who Cares?” if you want the achievement. That option advances the story toward the final boss fight while skipping the mystery reward.
Walkthroughs advise finding all evidence before accusing anyone, because missing clues can leave the needed dialogue choices unavailable. One guide says a failed accusation lets the game continue and that retrying requires replaying from before the party. Whether one wrong accusation permanently locks the achievement on a save is not established, so treat the accusation as a one-shot decision and inspect the room first.

What happens after the reveal
The dead Larry Pinkstock is a clone; the real Larry is still alive. He dies moments later amid the chaos caused by Kreg Button’s attack. Guides differ on what happens to the duplicate after the reveal, so the consistently reported twist is that the Larry found at the scene was not the original.
Why walkthroughs list different clue counts
Guide counts range from 12 clues to 13 pieces of evidence, and the named objects do not line up perfectly—most notably the shooting trophy. The core accusation is more consistent than the exact checklist: Oberon, the brother-related motive, rosy perfume, the shooting trophy, and the final shot-exclusivity answer. Use the room’s interactions and dialogue prompts as the authority for what your playthrough requires.
