The champion most sources point to as the January 2022 Wild Rift Name That Champion answer is Jinx. That answer comes from secondary reporting and community discussion from the time, not from a Riot reveal we could verify, so it should be read as the likely answer rather than an official confirmation.
How confident can you be in Jinx?
Two pieces of contemporary material support the answer. A guide dated January 23, 2022 says players predicted Jinx from the silhouette shown in the event. A discussion dated January 24, 2022 states, “Correct answer was Jinx.” Both are dated to the reveal window, which is why Jinx is the answer most readers will find, but neither is a Riot statement, and I could not locate an official Riot post naming the final answer. If you need a citation-grade answer, look for Riot’s own Wild Rift social channels or patch notes from late January 2022 before relying on it.

What Riot’s official announcement said
Riot’s Wild Rift Patch 3.0 notes, published January 18, 2022, announced the return of the “Name That Champion!” event. Riot said it would begin January 20, 2022 at 08:01 GMT+8, and described it as returning with mini-games, rewards and additional guesses. The announcement did not name the mystery champion.

The announcement instead played with the guesses. Riot’s notes read: “It’s Evelynn. It’s definitely Evelynn. Or… it’s Ahri. Wait, no. It’s Olaf! Olaf is my final guess…I think?” Riot presented these as joking guesses, not as the answer. Because the sentence is unattributed to any individual, cite it as Riot’s Patch 3.0 notes of January 18, 2022.

How the event worked
A contemporary guide from Touch, Tap, Play described the mechanics below. These details come from that guide rather than from an official Riot source, so treat them as reported rather than confirmed.
- Reveal date: the guide said the champion name would be revealed on January 24, 2022.
- Guess attempts: players could earn four guess attempts in total.
- Missions: four missions, each requiring three games. Each completed mission unlocked one guess.
- Rewards: the guide lists 100, 115 and 130 Blue Motes and 20 Poro Coins. Its summary does not clearly map each amount to a specific mission, so do not assume a per-mission breakdown.
- Correct guess: the guide said a correct guess paid two Blue Mote Boosts.
Why the answer is still searched for
Players searching for this event usually use phrasing like “who could this be?” or “Name That Champion challenge answer.” The short answer for the January 2022 event is Jinx, supported by the sources above, with the caveat that Riot’s own confirmation was not located in the material reviewed.
