Roblox has not identified a definitive first player. Roblox Support says, “It’s hard to say who the first player of Roblox was since some of those early accounts are still active.” The company’s public account describes a group of early builders, not one named person.
Why Roblox cannot name a definitive first player
Roblox Support’s Roblox Company Information page explains that some early accounts are still active, making it hard to say who the first player was. That is Roblox’s stated position; it does not mean that no account records exist anywhere.
The page does not name a first player or username, establish the order in which early accounts were created, or say who first entered the platform. It also does not identify the first person to play a particular experience.
What “first Roblox player” could mean
The phrase can refer to different milestones: the first account created, the first person to enter Roblox, or the first person to play a specific experience. Roblox Support’s statement does not distinguish among or resolve those meanings, so they should not be treated as interchangeable.

What Roblox says about its earliest participants
Roblox Support says the company was founded in 2004 by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel. It describes the first couple hundred builders as developers, investors, testers, and friends of the founders. This describes a group of early participants; it does not identify any one of them as the first player.
Although Baszucki and Cassel are named as founders, the page does not say either was the first player. The public information therefore supports a qualified answer, not a specific person or rumored username.
